Discover the wildlife of Tanzania in this six-day safari adventure that will take you to Mukumi and Nyerere national parks. The tour starts from the city of Dar es Salaam from where you will be picked up and transferred to Mikumi Natinoal Park.
The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the fashionable centrepiece of Mikumi, draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti plains. The park boasts several wildlife species, including African elephants, wildebeest, zebras and impalas. It is also home to a great many of bird species. More than 400 bird species have been recorded here, such as the lilac-breasted rollers, yellow-throated longclaws, and bateleur eagles.
On the next part of the tour, we will head to Nyerere National Park, formally known as Selous Game Reserve. Founded in 2019, the park covers over 30,000 square kilometres and boasts Tanzania's largest elephant population and many lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Species commonly seen are bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks, and zebras. The Marangu route is perhaps the easiest and most comfortable route to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak. We will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha and drive you to Marangu Gate. From there you follow the trail that takes you to the top of the mountain via Mandara, Horombo and Kibo huts.
The route is well-developed and the climb is constant and of moderate intensity. The only portion that is quite demanding is the approach to the summit. However, you also have the option of adding a day for acclimatization at an additional amount if you want to. The advantage of this route is that kiosks selling mineral water bottles, soft drinks, chocolates and beers are available in camp sites throughout the climb.

This six-day, guided trip to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara National Park is for travelers with a passion for wildlife who want to explore some of the most spectacular national parks in Tanzania's northern circuit.
We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and proceed to Tarangire National Park, home to Tanzania’s largest elephant population. The elephants are drawn to the Tarangire River from which the park gets its name. In addition to these large elephant herds, the park’s distinctive landscape is dotted with beautiful baobab trees and it has one of the greatest concentrations of game in Tanzania.
Next comes the iconic Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous national park known throughout the world for its annual wildebeest migration. Then head for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a natural wonder that is also one of the best places in the country to see the endangered black rhinoceros and is home to the Big Five.
The final destination on the itinerary is Lake Manyara National Park, where you will go out on a game drive as well as explore the surrounding villages. We will drive you back to Arusha after the tour is over.
