UK and Britain Tours in Summer

The tour was GREAT - a lot was packed into the two weeks, but there was more free time than I expected. Our guide was great, very kind, thoughtful, caring and ORGANISED! We covered a LOT of miles and the minibus was pretty comfortable, and we always had regular stops. So much to see - churches, historical buildings, the Danube (!), beautiful cities and lovely countryside. I'd definitely recommend this tour if you are interested in history and culture.

The trip is well designed, combining wine tastings, château visits, and charming village stops along the route. The optional rest day in Amboise gave us plenty of time to explore Château du Clos Lucé, Leonardo da Vinci's final residence, where we could immerse ourselves in his remarkable inventions and artworks, as well as visit the excellent museum dedicated to his life and genius. The cycling is mostly on flat terrain, making it an easy and enjoyable ride for cyclists of all abilities. The scenery is spectacular, with vast open fields stretching to the horizon, peaceful rivers and lakes, magnificent châteaux, and picturesque medieval villages. Our guide, Erwin, was efficient, well organised, and took excellent care of the group, thoughtfully adapting the itinerary to cope with the unusual heatwave. He was also very knowledgeable about the local history and introduced us to some wonderful local restaurants. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a perfect combination of cycling, culture, history, food, and wine.

It was an amazing experience. Our Explore leader Jasmin was super attentive and cared for every single detail regards to our safety and enjoyment. The group was a fun and friendly group. And of course, hiking the Dolomiti is like walking om a lost paradise! (with some extra sweat due the heatwave!). We will do it again.

We had an excellent trip. The itinerary is well thought out and covers all the classic things you want to see in Namibia, especially the dunes and game parks. .Our tour guide, Sheona, did an excellent job of telling us a lot about the country and nature and attending to everyone’s needs. We were a group that mixed well and had a lot of fun together. Our first stop was at Hammerstein Lodge, was a bit rough as we were plagued with bad weather: torrential rain, hail and snow in mid-June. This was an exception to the usual weather.. The heating in our rooms did not work. We all took it in stride as best we could. We were delighted as the accommodation only seemed to get better at each of the other stops. We did not see any lions, but we,were,lucky to be able to see rhinos and journeys of giraffes as well as some unusual things like an aardwolf and a jackal playing with its prey. I am convinced that every trip will have something unique and different on it.. The extra free day activity in Walvis Bay is highly recommended. We all signed up for it. We saw dolphins and a whale on our boat trip, but also had visits from seals and pelicans. Riding cars in the dunes by the sea was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the trip so much that I am considering doing it again.

The Ultimate Italy trip provided a well-rounded trip to Italy's key cities and sights ... we wanted to stay longer in most places since everything was wonderful. Our tour director, Daniele Nannetti, was superb. He made travel the "seamless experience" I have only heard about prior to this trip. Every detail was perfectly executed. He was a pleasure to know, from our first dinner to the last good-bye in Venice. He made the trip special. Our specific guides to the Vatican Museum, Pompei, Capri, St Francis of Assisi basilica, and Doge's Palace were knowledgeable and personable, and provided so much information that my head is still spinning.

This was just a beautiful and most enjoyable first-time tour with Explore. The tour leader, Tomislav, was excellent, combining very efficient organisation and the knowledge to answer all our questions with a great sense of humour. The places we visited were stunning, accommodation was just right and food was lovely.
