This was a really enjoyable trip. My e-bike was the best I've ever had (thanks Miguel!) and ideal for the terrain. The scenery was interesting and varied, we cycled on mainly quiet roads and tracks, and it was great to be away from tourist hotspots. I can't speak too highly of Miguel. He's a lovely guy, very well organised while making it all look easy, and he did all he could to make our trip a safe and enjoyable one. He worked hard to make sure we all had a good time and took us to some fantastic restaurants where the food was delicious and excellent value. The area has an interesting history and I thought the balance was just right between hearing about it without feeling overburdened with information. 100% recommend!

The Murcia tour was a good cycling itinerary through mostly rural Spain. Miguel was an excellent guide and gave generously of his time. The areas visited had few tourists which was nice but also resulted in fewer options for dining. We were rained out of our first day of cycling which is unavoidable, but I think spending the first day visiting Murcia would have been more interesting than Caravaca and would have not disrupted the flow of the trip.

Miquel is a lovely guy, knows what he is doing, is fun to be with and is a great leader. He looked after us like a mother hen, showed us some beautiful sites and worked like a Trojan to make sure those under his care had a really good time.. Everyone enjoyed themselves, we gelled well as a group and I am really happy to have made some new friends all of whom would agree that we could not have asked for a better companion / leader than Miquel.

ALthough not a problem for me there should be a disclaimer about the amount of walking on the tour. Other older guests had problems in my tour group. Also the amount of people per tour was too much. THe optional tours should be included in the price of the tour. Then you have to tip the local guides. Too much tipping.

My daughter and I had a fantastic time on this very thorough tour of Spain. The itinerary was fast paced but we still had time to explore at our leisure in each city. The 3 days in beachy relaxing Costa Del Sol was a welcome break from the early morning starts and it was in the middle of the itinerary to that was nice. If you want to learn about the history, art, architecture and people of Spain this is the tour for you. Very educational and interesting. Our tour director Lydia was exceptional and our drivers were top notch. We also enjoyed the mix of group dinners and on our own meals. During the group meals we got to experience many foods that we probably wouldn't have tried on our own. I highly recommend this tour.

Itinerary was very good. Always a balancing act regarding visiting all of the "mandatory tourist spots" versus staying in a town an extra day. Taking the trip in mid July was challenging due to the hot temperatures, for me, it has detracted from the overall memories. Nonetheless, Cordoba and Gilbralter were stunning. Our tour director was knowledgeable and skillfull in managing all the personalities (particularly the troublesome ones).

Valencia — Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

rel="noopener">Madrid and Barcelona, a trip to Valencia can certainly be a fun and rewarding journey for all travelers who are looking to immerse themselves in a different side of Spain.

    Tour Highlights

    • City of Arts and Science is a vast complex nestled on what was once the riverbed of the River Turia. It houses various facilities, including an Arts Museum, a Science Museum, an IMAX cinema, a planetarium and an aquarium.
    • El Carmen is a historic neighborhood characterized with rustic architecture and winding alleyways. Here, you will find Valencia’s trendiest cafés, bars and eateries.
    • Llotja de la Seda is an impressive 15th-century feat of Gothic architecture that was originally built as silk market. As one of the most important landmarks in the city, Llotja de la Seda is a testament to Valencia’s historical importance as a commerce hub.
    • Valencia Cathedral, one of the most visited tourist sites in Valencia, is a curious mix of Romanesque, Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance and Neo-classical influences.

    Travel Tips

    • Valencia is known as the birthplace of paella, so it would be a sin to visit this city without trying one. Paella Valenciana is made with rice and different types of meat — usually chicken or rabbit.
    • One of the most convenient ways to get around Valencia is by bicycle. Valencia is equipped with a public bike rental system that has over 250 stations throughout the city.
    • If you want to experience Valencia at its most festive, make sure to plan your trip during the month of March. This is when you can partake in the Falles, a five-day fiesta that celebrates San José, the patron saint of the city.
