Toulouse Tours and Trips

The trip has been put together extremely well. We travelled on public transport wherever it was possible, in line with Expore's green policies. The visits to the various food and wine establishments were excellent and very informative as well as the tastings we had in the local markets.

Great cycling & a beautiful area to visit. Erwin is so welcoming, knowledgeable, accommodating & passionate about ensuring the group have the best holiday. The accommodation is perfectly located and we had time each day to explore. Would definitely recommend this trip.

The cycling was graded as "easy" and I was pleased that was indeed the case as I had never done a cycling holiday with Explore before. The group of 16 looked rather daunting at first, but we all got on really well together and had good fun, especially all mucking in to make an unexpected barbecue in the grounds of our accommodation. The accommodation was appropriate for the places and areas where we were, and the tour leader organised everything well to see the most interesting places, have good meals and a wine-tasting, and stop for appropriate breaks. The "optional" harder day was the most enjoyable, the beautiful scenery and stunning village of Minerve more than making up for the uphill ride.

Erwin was great tour leader who went over and above to ensure the group and individuals had a fab experience. The cycle routes were well planned, social evenings were fun and we finished the week with a swim in the Med!!

This was a very interesting and well organised tour. I enjoyed all the activities and there was a good mix of food and location. The main problem was the quality of two of the hotels. The First in Bordeaux was very small and had no air-conditioning, which was unfortunate as we were experiencing a heat wave. The room in the final hotel in Toulouse was rather grubby and again very small. For a tour that cost over £2000 I feel this was unacceptable and I would’ve preferred even a chain hotel such as ibis where one can at least expect air-conditioning and a level of cleanliness for a similar price.

Tour leader, Erwin, was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. Itinerary and places visited excellent, lots of places to eat. Generally accommodation was good but at the final hotel, Zenitude, staff and management were indifferent and unhelpful, air conditioning not working and biting bed bugs.
