Riding by the canal was amazing! The scenery ever changing. A great itinerary where we stayed several days at each place. We visited lots of interesting, scenic places, and enjoyed delicious meals. Our guide Erwin was wonderful - friendly, helpful and always aware of our needs - and amazing knowledge of the area. I’ll be keen to look at another Explore cycling tour.

The trip has been put together extremely well. We travelled on public transport wherever it was possible, in line with Expore's green policies. The visits to the various food and wine establishments were excellent and very informative as well as the tastings we had in the local markets.

Great cycling & a beautiful area to visit. Erwin is so welcoming, knowledgeable, accommodating & passionate about ensuring the group have the best holiday. The accommodation is perfectly located and we had time each day to explore. Would definitely recommend this trip.

The cycling was graded as "easy" and I was pleased that was indeed the case as I had never done a cycling holiday with Explore before. The group of 16 looked rather daunting at first, but we all got on really well together and had good fun, especially all mucking in to make an unexpected barbecue in the grounds of our accommodation. The accommodation was appropriate for the places and areas where we were, and the tour leader organised everything well to see the most interesting places, have good meals and a wine-tasting, and stop for appropriate breaks. The "optional" harder day was the most enjoyable, the beautiful scenery and stunning village of Minerve more than making up for the uphill ride.

Erwin was great tour leader who went over and above to ensure the group and individuals had a fab experience. The cycle routes were well planned, social evenings were fun and we finished the week with a swim in the Med!!

I did a self-guided cycling trip by myself from Nantes to La Rochelle -- magical country, mostly along the ocean, wending from town to town along the Velodysee. It was very well planned, and I felt very well supported. It's pretty amazing to be able to stop along a route for a dip in a beautiful ocean and just BE in the moment. Very ridable trails with excellent signage and app guidance. Next time I might not exactly choose the exact moment that every French person heads for the seaside for the start of the Vacances Scolaires, lol.
