Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port Tours and Trips

At 76 years of age I approached my 40 day solo pilgrimage from St Jean Pied de Porte to Santiago with a degree of trepidation; however with adequate training and the support of UTracks my journey could not have gone better. The pre-booked accomodation (essential) and the luggage carry-forward service meant that I only had to carry a 4 kilo backpack knowing that my overnight stays were secure. The full solo Camino Francés is challenging, physically and mentally, however the safety net provided by UTracks gave me confidence everyday - Buen Camino!

Had an amazing time. Can't fault them, everything went very smoothly from start to finish. From luggage transfers and personal transfers, just all very stress free. Would definitely book through them again.

The Camino was fantastic. The accommodations were as I expected: simple, clean, efficient, and well-managed. I did not expect anything special. However, there were two days when we opted to take a break at a nice hotel and it also met my expectations.

Fantastic trip! Well organised and everything went smoothly. Would probably split the two big 30+ days if I were to have my time again. The heat adds another level of difficulty. Accommodations were all different but all clean and welcoming. Meals were varied as we walked into different regions the food changed to what was local. We never had a bad meal or a bad stay anywhere. Highly recommend this trip through France. A nice quiet Camino compared to the Frances but far more challenging. Very enjoyable.

The trip surpassed all expectations, though that does not mean that there were not some hiccups. The hiccups were related to taxi transfer (one night we did not know that we were to make arrangements for a trip transfer) and dinner (one night it had not been confirmed with the place that we were staying that we had pre-paid for a dinner). Everything did eventually get ironed out, but that's why I'd say "hiccup."

Trip was well paced. Accommodations were good. Plugged shower drain in two locations one with a good response, another with a bad response. Food was good. Good view of rural France.
