Don't skip Ecuador! This trip was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation in one of the most beautiful and biodiverse countries I have ever seen. The guide, group, and local people were all wonderful. I can't wait to go back, see more, and drink as many batidas de papaya as I can! If you have time, a trip to Mindo for the hummingbirds is magical

If you are reading this you have already seen the brochure description and want to know if it is all true. The trip does cover a huge variety of ground both in miles, climate and altitude so yes you really do need everything from hat and gloves to sun block! I think packing for this trip was possibly the most challenging. Most of the walking wasn't challenging but on a couple of longer ones there are options to opt out or cut short so no pressure there. Not much relaxation but some free time to shop and have the occasional cocktail, lots of travel. You will see spectacular scenery, meet interesting and knowledgeable people, seal lions having a nap in the street, iguanas a plenty. If you have a special bird interest check the nesting season to give you the best chance. We saw Frigate birds displaying to females but not the season for blue foots. The sea was warm enough but keep moving. The estimated cost of food was fairly accurate but food and drink can vary a lot. There are posh eateries with expensive cocktails, but also well priced, no frills food with a bottle of beer. ATMs relatively easy to find in a number of locations. Wifi connection was good. Wow. Geluxe is my new favourite way to travel. I felt extremely well taken care of. Exploring Ecuador with caring and detail oriented guides who had a resounding love for their country was an absolute delight. I had tears in my eyes so many times on this trip after feeling overwhelmed with the beauty that surrounded me. The accommodations were in fabulous areas and always had a little something extra (views, food, staff) that helped me feel comfortable and well taken care of. The food was abundant and delicious, almost always with a reflection of the Ecuadorian cuisine. So many varied and interesting activities. Loved climbing to base camp at Cotopaxi (well, I loved getting to base camp- a worthwhile climb with a lot of elevation to add to the fun). The sheer beauty around every corner of land and sea (manta rays and seahorses in GalA¡pagos were my favorite) helped to rate this trip one of the best trips I have every been on ( maybe even the best). Thank you to all the people of Ecuador for loving their country and land and helping me see a small part of the beauty and kindness that exist in abundance.

This is a trip of a lifetime - a really comprehensive taste of the best of Ecuador and Galapagos. From high altitude hiking to the phenomenal landscapes, trying local food and extraordinary encounters with unique wildlife. All carefully curated and at a high level of comfort. I would highly recommend this experience.

We had a fantastic time in the Galapagos. This was our second tour with G adventures and both have run very smoothly from a logistics perspective. The Galapagos tour was packed full of activities and everything you could ever want/need was taken care of so you can just enjoy the islands/snorkelling. We had a great team of G adventures staff looking after us, and can?t wait to go back one day to see the rest of the islands.

This two-week adventure in the Galapagos was a blast! The itinerary is packed with activities, both on land and in the water. The schedule is well planned and you have plenty of time to discover the incredible nature of these islands. In two weeks, you have the chance to see the wildlife in different contexts, and it's always amazing. The whole crew and the tour leader were exceptional. This trip is now part of our top-5 adventures!
