Remondy Kabura

My name is Remondy, but you can call me Mondy. I am a born and bred Cape Town local who loves my city and loves to share my city's experiences and unique attractions. I hail from a very small family consisting only of my Dad, Mum, and myself. My Dad passed on when I was very young, which left only Mum and me. I always dreamed of being a part of a big family, and when I married my husband Alain, my dream came true. Suddenly I had 16 brothers and sisters-in-law, and many, many nieces and nephews! I grew up on the Cape Flats in Cape Town, coming from a disadvantaged group in a society where there was little hope for a brighter future; where only those who focused, persevered and believed in their dreams could thrive. Like most people, I dreamt of traveling and seeing the world from a very young age, but I couldn’t realize this dream until much later in life. Because I wasn't able to make my own dreams come true when I was younger, I embarked on a career as a travel consultant to help make others’ travel dreams happen.

I specialize in Southern and East Africa, but because I live in Cape Town, my knowledge about South Africa is the most widespread. I've traveled extensively throughout South Africa and my expertise about our beloved country is vast. From the southernmost tip of Africa in the Cape Agulhas near Cape Town, through to the Cape West Coast, Garden Route, Durban, Johannesburg, and Kruger National Park, I can tailor-make the best luxury African tour and safari package for honeymoons, couples, families, and groups of friends.

My best travel experience was when, through work, I had the golden opportunity to realize one of my greatest dreams: to travel to Paris. In 2019, together with a colleague, I traveled all the way from Cape Town to the ITB conference in Berlin, Germany. The ITB-Berlin is one of the greatest travel expos in the world and houses more than 10000 travel companies under one roof annually. Through this opportunity, we were able to connect with some of the best safari establishments in Africa to bring you an even greater African Safari experience during your dream vacation in Africa. We took the opportunity to explore Germany and France after the conference and spent two days exploring the city of Berlin before taking a coach to the city of blinding lights: Paris. Our dream of reaching the top of the Eiffel Tower was met on a very cold night. Being from Africa, this was one of the coldest nights of my life, but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything!
