Kashgar Tours and Trips

This was my favorite dragoman trip so far, and my 3rd of many more. The dynamics between the group members, and the teamwork of the crew were the very best leadership dynamics I have yet to experience while overlanding.

This was an amazing tour to a fascinating region of China, which satisfied my interest in the history of the Silk Road. It was a non-stop tour involving many different modes of transport to cover the large distances but it was all very well organised by our young guide Tar. The regions and towns we visited differed both geographically and also in terms of ethnic diversity. I particularly enjoyed Xian, the wonderful history museums, the Mingsha dunes, the Mogao Caves filled with Buddhist art, the ruins of ancient Jiaohe and our final stop, Kashgar. The hotels exceeded my expectations: rooms were generally large and comfortable, with aircon and free wi-fi. In all, a memorable and very enjoyable tour!

I was continually amazed at Domingo's persistent optimism. He kept us informed and told us truthfully and accurately what we could expect as we traveled. He was a competent and fun group leader. Euan Park is one of the most delightful people I have ever met, I found his driving excellent and my conversations with him quite enjoyable. I would see Euan working on the truck from time to time - when I asked him if anything was wrong, he would say something like, "I'm just making sure everything is the way it is supposed to be. I'm a big believer in preventive maintenance." Wonderful travel companion.

This was our first group travel experience after many years of independent travel. We enjoyed not having to worry about ongoing transport, accommodation and language issues. While we would have liked to stayed longer in some places, the tour enabled us to see sites we would have found difficult to visit independently. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday with this tour operator.
