Hiroshima Art and architecture Tour Reviews
Guest reviews from travelers on Art and architecture tours in and around Hiroshima
The hotels and planed activities were great, transportation as well. I saw a lot in this trip and had lots of great new experiences. What I did not expect was that most of the group would be spanish speakers and the english speakers to be a small minority. Also the tour guides were pretty mixed. Btw I can’t really rate them since only the spanish speaking guides are showing up In general I had the feeling that the native spanish speaking guides were interacting more with the spanish group and a bit less with the english group. It seemed otherwise with the native Japanese guides Akane and Ken, but it might be due to the small english group on the trip compared to the spanish speakers. Also some guides like “Pacco” or Miguel gave us very little background Information to the visited sites compared to other guides. But I was really happy with our Guide Ken whom I had for most of the trip, so I don’t feel bad about it. Thank you very much for a great time
My trip was the best tour I have experienced. Ken was so knowledgeable, funny, helpful and attentive to our needs. Great ambassador for your Company. Being a solo traveler he catered to my needs and was such an inspiration. Only bad experience was getting from the hotel to the airport at the end of the trip. I booked a taxi at the service desk prior to my departure. Was hard to understand as the lady did not speak much English. I showed her my itinerary for the airport and departure time. Next day the taxi was waiting for me but he took me to the domestic terminal. This cost me over 1400 yen. I then had to get another taxi to the international terminal for my flight home, this cost me 330 Australian dollars. I did not have much time to get my flight as well. I was shaken and upset. What a tragedy to end a perfect holiday. The motel should compensate me for their error. What can be done about it? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I realize when I booked it the taxi was going to be expensive but going to the domestic terminal was out of line and their error. Will await a reply to this problem.
I loved this tour. I had an unforgettable moments for all the services and specially the tour guides. Ken was very responsible and had lots of information. Nadia was very lovely and punctuate. Thank you Europamundo for everything. I recommend this tour to everyone.
A very pleasant experience with some outstanding guides who were very friendly and some who had exceptional in-depth knowledge. The tour itinerary was well adhered to and showcased the beauty of Japan. Certain improvements suggested would be -a the visit to Zojoji Temple in Tokyo may be substituted by some other attraction since there are visits to 2 other Temple/Shrine on the same day and therefore becomes one dimensional; b except for the first 2 days, the buses did not have charging points on the seats, which is essential since the tour involves travelling long distances; c the accommodation provided at Moxy Hotels in Tokyo Osaka were underwhelming and certainly not 4 star as promised in the itinerary. About the guides - the questionnaire unfortunately does not mention the names of our English-speaking guides. Therefore, I would like to specially mention about a Nadia, who was with us in Tokyo – she is such a vivacious personality who endeared herself to the entire Group; b Asoaka and Laura who were with us at Kawaguchiko, Iyashi No Sato Nemba and Kyoto – Asoaka managed the English speaking tourists very well with her local knowledge, beaming smile, extroverted nature and caring attitude Laura, who though primarily managing the Spanish speaking tourists, also mixed very well with us and helped us whenever we sought any information; c Ken Rei, a proud Japanese and an absolute professional, who impressed us with his knowledge – not only of the Japanese culture/religion but having travelled the world, he had very sharp insights and views on a wide spectrum of subjects. The Osaka and Hiroshima leg of the trip was made all the more memorable by his contributions.
I travelled with my grandson, Maxwell, aged 15. We both had a great time in Japan. Our English speaking guides were Akane and Alvaro, who were both very good and very helpful. But the last day at Hiroshima was very disappointing as both my grandson and I were particularly interested in the peace park and museum, but instead we were taken to the train station for lunch/pick up passengers after our drive from Okayama and we then drove to Miyajima and the Itsukushima shrine which only left a very small amount of time to visit the museum. We would rather have gone first to the Peace Museum and, because of our interest in history, we would have stayed on there and met the group later at our hotel. Perhaps you could offer a visit either to the museum for the afternoon, or the shrine a short visit to the museum for future tours, so that people have a choice? I would have given this tour 5 if we could have had the whole afternoon at the peace park.
It was great to have the knowledgeable guides to enhance our visit to Japan. The hotels and transport were high quality. All of our guides were friendly, Ken told the best stories about the history and mythology of Japan
