I traveled through Japan 9 days 11 destinations and had several different guides, but one in particular truly stood out—his name was Ken or Rai. I was the youngest in the group 23 , with most travelers being elderly, and he made such an interesting story about every place that we visited that I’ve never felt bored. Ken has an incredible depth of knowledge and speaks three languages fluently, which is honestly so impressive. He’s personality and storytelling really made me remember historical facts and ways to get to meeting point, to not get lost?? I only got to spend a couple of days with him, but really wish he had been our main guide throughout the whole trip—I feel like I would’ve connected even more deeply with the country through his stories and insight. Beyond his knowledge, what really struck me was how much he cared. He constantly made sure everyone was present, fed, comfortable, and enjoying themselves. It wasn’t just a job for him—it really showed that he valued our experience. Rai I hope I spell it correctly?? , thank you for everything Overall the trip and planning was great. I’m really happy that I booked this tour. It wasn’t too overwhelming and perfect amount
A very pleasant experience with some outstanding guides who were very friendly and some who had exceptional in-depth knowledge. The tour itinerary was well adhered to and showcased the beauty of Japan. Certain improvements suggested would be -a the visit to Zojoji Temple in Tokyo may be substituted by some other attraction since there are visits to 2 other Temple/Shrine on the same day and therefore becomes one dimensional; b except for the first 2 days, the buses did not have charging points on the seats, which is essential since the tour involves travelling long distances; c the accommodation provided at Moxy Hotels in Tokyo Osaka were underwhelming and certainly not 4 star as promised in the itinerary. About the guides - the questionnaire unfortunately does not mention the names of our English-speaking guides. Therefore, I would like to specially mention about a Nadia, who was with us in Tokyo – she is such a vivacious personality who endeared herself to the entire Group; b Asoaka and Laura who were with us at Kawaguchiko, Iyashi No Sato Nemba and Kyoto – Asoaka managed the English speaking tourists very well with her local knowledge, beaming smile, extroverted nature and caring attitude Laura, who though primarily managing the Spanish speaking tourists, also mixed very well with us and helped us whenever we sought any information; c Ken Rei, a proud Japanese and an absolute professional, who impressed us with his knowledge – not only of the Japanese culture/religion but having travelled the world, he had very sharp insights and views on a wide spectrum of subjects. The Osaka and Hiroshima leg of the trip was made all the more memorable by his contributions.
I travelled with my grandson, Maxwell, aged 15. We both had a great time in Japan. Our English speaking guides were Akane and Alvaro, who were both very good and very helpful. But the last day at Hiroshima was very disappointing as both my grandson and I were particularly interested in the peace park and museum, but instead we were taken to the train station for lunch/pick up passengers after our drive from Okayama and we then drove to Miyajima and the Itsukushima shrine which only left a very small amount of time to visit the museum. We would rather have gone first to the Peace Museum and, because of our interest in history, we would have stayed on there and met the group later at our hotel. Perhaps you could offer a visit either to the museum for the afternoon, or the shrine a short visit to the museum for future tours, so that people have a choice? I would have given this tour 5 if we could have had the whole afternoon at the peace park.
Good
It was very nice travelling with all people.
