Heraklion Tours and Trips

An amazing experience in Greece. We participated in 3 cooking lessons which were all different and fantastic fun. Learnt a great deal about Greek cuisine and learnt many new skills The tastings of olive oil, ouzo, honey and wine were extremely informative and very enjoyable. The transport was excellent as were the drivers. The tour leader was very knowledgable, approachable and helpful. A fantastic tour which we would highly recommend.

Everything was well coordinated. Dimitri, the coordinator, was always reachable. He answered all our questions and planned the transfers from and to the airport at times suitable to our plans. The hotel was quiet but close to the water. No detail was left untied. We had a great time!!!

We were picked up from Heriklion and taken to our hotel. Hotel was good, my only comment is that we would have preferred to pay a little extra and gone all inclusive as we could only have food in the evening meal which also included water that we had to pay for. Trip to knossos was very informative and ticket was also valid for the museum in Heraklion, which we visited in the afternoon. The safari trip was fantastic. Jason our guide was funny and knowledgable. We learnt a lot about the villages in the mountains, saw the sunken village, visited a goat herder and watched cheese being made then tried them with raki. Amazing Day especially travelling on the roads up the mountains. Very good value for money.

Crete is a very nice place. I recommend going and visiting albeit not in July/August - it is extremely hot. The tour itself was well organized. the three day trips that actually happened were pretty good, especially the safari.The guides were helpful and knowledgeable.

All my expectations were met. The hotel was good, the food however was not and bad mosquito problem. I enjoyed being in Hersonissos and a nice walk to the seaside restaurants of which there are many. All the day trips were interesting although long hours on the bus having to pick up people at their beach resorts. Crete is a big island so there was much ground to cover.
