I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It was well organised and ran very smoothly. We saw and experienced so much but it didn’t feel rushed as there was plenty of downtime also. Hotels were all good, any included meals were excellent and all the producers we visited were so welcoming and happy to share their knowledge and passion. Could easily go back and do it all again!
Excellent trip but an extra day on Crete would be good. City tour of very hilly Athens should have been partly by vehicle.
A really well balanced tour from Crete to the Peloponnese with Athens and Poros in between. As well as the absorbing food related activities, the tour visited key sights, such as the Acropolis and Epidavros Theatre, as well as allowing a good amount of free time to do your own thing. Everything was tied together much more seamlessly than you could do yourself and the enthusiasm of Christos, the tour leader, topped it all of nicely. A great tour!
A well-planned trip focusing on enjoying the excellent food and drink of Crete, Athens and the Peloponnese in the company of a knowledgeable and engaging guide. A real highlight was visiting the farmers, olive oil producers, beekeepers, wine makers and cooks with a genuine passion for what they do and a love of sharing it with visitors. The chance to visit the breathtaking Acropolis and the theatre at Epidaurus made this trip extra special.
This tour was a perfect balance of amazing food, historical sites, and sightseeing, and time to do things on your own. We had such a dynamic and charismatic group leader that made the whole experience that much better. Wide range of activities, which made interesting aspects to the food tour theme… it was a magnificent trip!
