Havana Tours in Winter

As a solo female traveller I was a little anxious about travelling around Cuba but G Adventures and our guide for the trip, Jorge Luis, put me completely at ease. Leave your Western expectations at home (around Internet, electricity, etc), get involved in the activities and you'll have an amazing experience! Cuba is beautiful and has some stunning scenery. Havana is like stepping back in time and such a vibrant city! You see a LOT on this short trip, I had a wonderful time!

The tour Cuba Libre despite of a very difficult economic situation in the country is a fantastic way not only of enjoying the hiking, sightseeing and resting but a very good way on reflection on the past, present and the future of the country. Thanks to fantastic guide Alberto and remarkable driver Renee, we were able to see the whole country. The guides in mountain left us with absolutely unbelievable knowledge about the nature and history of Cuba. Alex was able to attract the national bird so we could even be able to take a picture of it. I would recommend this tour to everybody who are looking for adventure and have interest in history, nature and people of Cuba. This is the country where people live in rich natural beauty along the one of the most fascinated history.

This trip was a fantastic way to explore more of Cuba and learn about it's history and culture from locals! The cycling was great overall, there were some hills that were tougher - especially with the humidity and being directly under the sun, but very rewarding. There were lots of long stretches on the trip where we could all cycle at our own pace and so many locals coming out of their homes and shops to wave while we cycled by. I especially loved the views on day 11 cycling along the coast to Cienfuegos! Lunch at the farm on day 13 was definitely the best meal we had while on the trip, but in general, I was surprised with the food options we had for many of our meals. The itinerary was also jam packed with different activities, I absolutely loved our beach day in Trinidad and the classic car tour of Havana was so much fun!

Cuba has been on my bucket list for years and it was amazing to spend over 2 weeks travelling around the country as each city and region had something special and different. The beaches and the sea were incredibly, both black and white sand and crystal clear waters. Lots of culture, history, music and dancing. Would recommend to everyone.

Cuba is a country like no other around the world, it really is like stepping back in time. The locals are so friendly though and there was never a time that I felt unsafe walking around the various cities on my own. Nelson was a fantastic guide and crammed as much information into the tour as he could and gave a very clear insight into the Cuban culture and lifestyle.
