Dublin 11-Day Tour Reviews

Guest reviews from travelers on 11-Day tours in and around Dublin

The tour was great. It was our first time in Ireland and we visited a number of cities, which allows us to see which ones we like best and want to visit again on a future trip. The highlight of the trip for us was Ashford Castle, which included a cruise around the lake and a bagpipes when we checked in.

Overall it was excellent. A bit grueling having to move every night but we saw most of the Republic, going around south, to the west and around the top, and back to Dublin. The hotels started out great and after the first two, were not of the same quality. All of them were clean but they were "motels" for lots and lots of motor coaches. The food was great, except the liquid-eggs for breakfast. We saw a lot of extras (that we had to pay extra for) but they were very interesting and worth the extra cost. Highlights include Kylemore Abbet, Westport House high tea, Our Lady of Knock Shrine, the cliffs of Moher, and jaunting cart rides through the National Park in Killarney. Dublin was okay, skip[ the Guinness tour and Epic museums, they really were just pictures without substance. Go to the free museums of Dub,in especially the "Archeology" museum with actual exhibits/artifacts starting 2,500 years before Christ. Dublin Airport was chaos. No signage, not much assistance, especially by American Airlines personnel. TSA and USA Customs were a cinch and very straighforward. Well worth the cost and effort!

It suited me very well to finish in Belfast but the availability of a transfer back to Dublinwas very good for some people. The National Stud was a standout for me, also the Cohn and Aran Islands, I think this should be an inclusion rather than an optional extra. I would have liked to go to Port Rush on the tour

Beyond amazing. our tour guide educated on so many things about Ireland’s history and culture. He entertained us with his music as did our bus driver. We saw beautiful places and met so many nice people in the group and across the island. Great craic!

This was a busy tour with very full days but perfect, and we loved it, to see as much as possible. We saw the highlights of all the stops and this left opportunity to return if we decide to go back to see more of a particular destination. We were very happy with this tour content

Itinerary was great. We visited all the "must see" sights as well as the "hole in the wall" places that no one else knows about. It was a great balance of touring and getting from place to place and then optional experiences if you wanted time off from the bus/tour. Our bus driver and tour guide were phenomenal, I would highly recommend and the Amazing Ireland Tour.
