Dead Sea Tours and Holidays

532 reviews on bookmundi

Located between Israel and Jordan and parts of the West Bank, the Dead Sea is a unique creation of nature. This salty lake is unlike any other place on earth, with its waters being ten times saltier than those of the ocean. With Qumran caves and Masada nearby, and Ein Gedi's well-known oasis and nature reserve to the west, the Dead Sea tours have a lot to offer. Take advantage of the therapeutic powers of the mineral-rich waters while enjoying the magnificent scenery at the lowest point on Earth.

Excellent tour in Jordan

Our journey to Jordan was truly memorable — we're still talking about it months later! Everything was smoothly arranged, and the team paid close attention to our preferences. The accommodations were top-notch, and the guides shared a wealth of knowledge at every stop.

Reliable, Organized, and Knowledgeable Tour Service

I chose this travel operator after comparing several agencies, and I couldn’t have made a better decision. Every detail was handled professionally, from our pick-up at the airport to the final drop-off. The itinerary struck a perfect balance: Petra and Wadi Rum were breathtaking, while smaller stops like Madaba and Mount Nebo added depth. Hotels were clean and well-located, meals authentic, and the vehicle comfortable. Our guide combined historical knowledge with a warm, approachable manner. This company doesn’t just provide tours—they provide peace of mind. I would book with them again without hesitation.

A truly unforgettable journey across Jordan

This tour operator exceeded every expectation. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but incredibly warm and accommodating, making every stop feel personalized. Petra was mesmerizing, and the Dead Sea was a surreal experience. The transportation was comfortable and always on time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a deep, memorable dive into Jordan’s magic.

Seamless, professional and unforgettable tour in Jordan with great company

I rarely write reviews, but my experience deserves recognition. I traveled with a small group of friends, and what impressed us most was the agency’s flexibility and professionalism. We started from Jerusalem and crossed the Allenby Bridge, where JHT’s representative helped us through what could have been a confusing process. From there, everything was smooth sailing. In Madaba and Mount Nebo, we had time to reflect on the biblical history, while our guide shared both historical facts and heartfelt local stories. When we reached Petra, I was blown away—not only by the site itself, but also by the way our guide balanced exploration with rest. He suggested shaded routes, provided cold water, and even pointed out photo opportunities that gave us memories for life. Wadi Rum was another highlight: we had a thrilling 4x4 jeep ride across the desert, followed by a quiet evening of stargazing. The camp was clean and comfortable, with warm Jordanian hospitality. What I appreciated most was the balance between adventure and comfort, history and relaxation. The travel operator understood our needs better than we did ourselves, and that’s the mark of a truly professional travel company.

Discovering Jordan Safely with Expert Local Guides

Traveling with this travel agency was one of the best choices I made for my trip to the Middle East. From the moment I arrived at Queen Alia Airport, I felt looked after with their smooth transfer service and clear communication. The itinerary was perfectly balanced: exploring Petra’s timeless beauty, experiencing the magic of Wadi Rum with a thrilling jeep tour, and relaxing by the Dead Sea. What impressed me most was how attentive and flexible the team was—every detail felt personalized, and safety was always a top priority. I also appreciated the cultural insights shared by the guides, which added depth to every site I visited. Jordan can sometimes feel overwhelming for a solo traveler, but with Jordan Horizons I felt safe, welcomed, and inspired throughout.

Unforgettable Journey Through Jordan

Traveling with this travel agency was one of the best decisions we’ve made. The organization was flawless: hotel bookings, comfortable vehicles, and well-planned itineraries made everything stress-free. What stood out most was the balance between sightseeing and relaxation. We had time to enjoy Petra’s majesty, float in the Dead Sea, and even sip tea with Bedouins in Wadi Rum. Each guide we met added genuine passion and knowledge to our journey. I appreciated how flexible the team was with last-minute requests, making us feel valued and cared for throughout the trip.

Dead Sea — Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Tour Highlights

  • Be amazed by the healing properties of minerals and mud of the Dead Sea float.
  • Relish the majestic views of the Dead Sea from the Dead Sea Panoramic Complex and marvel at the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran National Park.
  • Go hiking, witness the wildlife, wander through a floral garden, and take in the breathtaking David Waterfall at the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve. While you are there, do not forget to explore Wadi Arugot and Wadi David, two well-known canyons.
  • Enjoy a refreshing swim at Ein Bokek Beach or simply unwind at Kalia Beach.
  • Take the Snake Trail hike to reach Masada National Park, a world heritage site.
  • Take a dip in Ma'in Hot Springs, explore Lot's Cave's rustic appeal, climb the Zara Cliff, and hike up to Mount Nebo.

Travel Tips

  • During the Dead Sea Tours, it is not uncommon to come across sinkholes, which you should stay away from. Keep this in mind, especially if you plan to travel to the northern basin, as freshwater often dissolves underground salt deposits.
  • Do not shave any part of your body in the days preceding your trip to the Dead Sea. Contact with highly saline water with open skin pores can cause irritation and a burning sensation. By that same logic, you should not step into the water if you have fresh cuts or wounds on your body.
  • Try to keep your heads above water at all times to protect your eyes from irritation. If you are traveling with children, advise them not to jump or splash in the water.
  • Mineral water can discolor your clothes and tarnish jewelry, while the saline can damage your phone camera and DSLR. So take the necessary precautions.
  • Make sure to drink plenty of water, as long exposure to mineral water and the hot sun can cause dryness of the skin and dehydration. The heat also makes the sand very warm, and thus you are advised to wear footwear at all times.
