Brasov Tours in Summer

We had a lovely time in Transylvania and I would highly recommend it. Emil was a great guide, very knowledgeable and very considerate. He kept us on schedule throughout the trip and tried to accommodate any additional requests. Transylvania is absolutely stunning and Emil suggested we take the cable car ride over the Carpathian mountains since it was open. Then we saw the bears on the way down the mountains. The trip is quite intense with time in the evenings to either relax or go exploring. The hotels we stayed in were also really lovely. This travel agency also allowed us to book a family room for 3 of us and gave us a small discount on the price. The only thing I would say is food was a lot more expensive than I would have expected because we were in tourist areas so maybe do a bit of research before hand if you need to keep costs down.

Our guide Ann spoke perfect English, was prompt every morning picking us from our comfortable hotel and was professional and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of all castles, monasteries and villages! Driving from one scenic location to the next was comfortable in our air conditioned sedan. Can’t thank Ann and her company enough for a trip which certainly is a highlight of all our years of travelling. We booked a private 8 day tour of Romania with this travel operator and they did a fabulous job of making sure we had the best time ever!! They lined us up with a tour guide named Laurentiu. He was fantastic!!! He was extremely knowledgable of all the places we visited throughout Romania. It was all natural for him and it was not scripted and he knew the history of each sight. He was very laid back and was never in a rush. He had a great personality and a good sense of humor. He made our entire trip fun and interesting. He took us to all of the main sights on our itinerary, as well as some off the beaten path sights. We got a true understanding and feeling of what life in Romania is all about. The hotels they booked us in were all conveniently located to all of the main attractions and were all unique boutique type hotels. Lauentui knew where all the great restaurants were along the way and we ate like kings and the food was excellent. Romania is a vast and beautiful country. Everything ran smooth and was perfect. We had the best time anyone could ever ask for. We would highly recommend this company for all your travel needs throughout Romania.

We cannot speak highly enough about how great our “Dracula Beyond the Legend” tour was with our guide Marcel in July/August 2023. Marcel spoke incredible English and was immensely knowledgeable about Romanian history, culture, religion, traditions and its flora, fauna, wildlife and geography. He was also an excellent driver and knew exactly how to make the most of every sight and location. We cannot believe how much we saw and experienced; Marcel was dedicated, excited to show off his country’s impressive culture and landscapes, and absolutely indefatigable in terms of energy. We had an absolutely wonderful time and we highly recommend this tour to anyone and everyone. We felt most privileged to see Romania through Marcel’s eyes and cannot imagine any better way to experience this beautiful and richly cultured country. In addition to all the spectacular sights (Bran Castle, Peles Castle, and Sibiu were among our all-time favs, but honestly there are too many highlights to name), we also got to see brown bears up close in Transylvania! Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful adventure on this tour, with our excellent and friendly guide, Laurentiu. We never saw so many sunflowers in our lives and the Carpathians were breathtaking. As we wondered, our knowledgeable guide brought the history of the region to life, helping us picture what life was and in many cases, still is like there. We particularly loved Sighisoara and Sibiu -- they are living, breathing medieval towns -- vibrant and fascinating. From the ruins of Vlad's court in Targoviste, to the amazing Black Church in Brasov, to Corvin Castle, Romania was an eye-opening wonder for us. In addition, the people that we interacted with were open and kind, with a good grasp of English, and we enjoyed the European ease of dining whenever you want, and everything was fresh. It was a fabulous trip!

Our guide Alex was fantastic. He has a great personality, a great depth of knowledge, and he is a master at finding good parking places everywhere we stopped. It really felt like taking a tour with a good friend and not just a tour guide. I highly recommend any tour that Alex is leading.
