Bordeaux Tours and Trips
Bordeaux is best known for being the center of one of the world’s premier wine-producing regions. But there is so much more to this port city on the Garonne River in southwestern France. Besides its wine heritage, the city also boasts several architectural, cultural, and natural sites that demand attention. You can visit the Dune du Pilat, the tallest dune in Europe, with an unmatched view of France's breathtaking natural beauty, get a historic tour of the Gothic Saint-André Cathedral, or escape to the serene Arcachon Bay. And if it's the wine regions that you are most intrigued with, you can always indulge your wine palate in Medoc, Saint-Emilion, Pomerol, and Graves. Dive into the world of fine wines and rich heritage with our Bordeaux tours on your trip to France.

I have to the highest regard for our guide, Sara Frost __, she took a lot of extra time to be sure that one our party, Linda Lamb, an MS sufferer, who could walk at top speed about 0.5 mph, would be able to wait in a cafe for the rest of us if the venue required a little walking. We had tried to get her to look at the itinerary and arrange for a wheel chair, but unfortunately, she did not do anything. This placed an unnecessary burden on Trafalgar which Sara delt with amazingly. I am persuaded that most guides would not have risen to the challenge as she did. I have one criticism: the wine at St. Emilion was just not as palatable as expected although I did buy 4 bottles. Maybe we are just not much of wine connoisseurs yet, but you might look for a different winery. All the wine we had in Spain was better than what they offered, even their 17 euro bottle.
The entire tour was amazing, taking into consideration this was only my second international experience. My most memorable experience, if I picked just one, was our boat tour in Cassis. But I will say our group (22 people), was just lovely. We were a small enough group to get to know one another and share past, present and future travel stories. Let’s not forget our tour guide, Stephanie . She was lovely. Totally knowledgeable, accessible at all times and she was fun. She is what I would hope for in all tour guides 💕. Our next travel experience will hopefully be either Greece or Italy. And I could only hope that it would be as amazing and memorable as “Essence of France”! Would definitely travel with Collette again !
Best of France was a fantastic trip. We went around the entire country and into Monaco as well. We saw all the best places and met such interesting people. The tour guide and coach bus driver were very professional and all the details of the trip were well taken care of to the finest degree. It was so nice to see all around France, not just Paris. We loved seeing so much of the country and its people.
This tour was wonderful. Our tour leaders were friendly, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and fun. Nothing on the tour felt generic. I never could have found the experiences on my own that the tour leaders cultivated for us.
The tour was truly the “The Best of France”. We saw cities towns, monuments and towers that we had wanted to see and delightful and interesting places in France that we did not know about.
It was a great tour to see many towns in France. Great bus, great tour guide. The cities visited are cities that normally are not included in other tour companies and one of the reasons we picked this one is that we could see St. Michel and Lourdes.
