It is a very tiring trip. My so of law did this trip nearly 20 years ago, he told me how tedious the fights are, I was all prepared. There's no way around, but you can elaborate about it, It is a big country especially for us from UK!!! We had a wonderful group, people make or ruin the well prepared trip (by you). Marcello was wonderful.
Initially, I was reluctant to visit Iguazu as I thought its just another waterfall, but when I saw the beauty of this waterfall I was speechless. You have to visit this place to experience the beauty and enormity. The Macuco safari & boat trip to under the waterfall I am not going to forget ever. Since I was unable to visit the Argentina side of the waterfall, I was able to spend the day at the Itaipu Dam and also the 3 fronteiras (borders). What a memorable trip.
Everything went perfect. From the time I was picked up from the hotel in Manaus, the boat ride crossing the Negro and Amazon rivers, the drive from the pier to the boat ride to the resort. I was in awe of the beauty and enormity of the forest. While boating through the flooded path amidst the trees, I fell in love with the Amazon forest. Definitely coming back again.
This was a chance to visit the iconic parts of Brazil. Areas that were very different. I was disappointed in the Amazon I expected more wildlife but there was very little. The floating lodge was lovely. If going to the Pantanal you should try and go on the optional trip to see Jaguars it is very unlikely you would see them from the safari trucks they make far too much noise. Iguazu Falls were spectacular I saw them from both Brazilian and Argentinian sides in my view a must. I also saw them from the boat and from the air, amazing. Rio was great saw the Christ the Reedeemer not included? can't understand why as it is the first thing you think of when you think of Rio and went up Sugar Loaf Mountain great views over the city. Loved St Teresa's area in Rio but really needed more time another day would be good. Main gripe was the lack of direct flights having to go through Sao Paulo nearly everytime putting many hours onto journeys we had 7 internal flights during the trip not only that but the times were awful Explore had gone for the cheapest option meaning we arrived in new destinations early in the morning needing to get going after breakfast, we could have left earlier as we were given a chance for further options to waste time before going to the airport. Lukas our guide was very organised and very helpful, such a patient young man.
