We have been on 9 trips with the Travel Corporation and this has been one of our favorites. I loved going to remote areas to see pueblos and learn about the ancient puebloans and their extensive knowledge of the sun and moon and astrology. Everyone on the trip LOVED the itinerary. The trip is not as strenuous as we had read. I highly recommend this eye opening tour
Both and were totally professional on this tour. was very informative and quite helpful with recommendations. was very attentive when boarding and getting off the bus. Highly recommend this trip The medicine man talk seemed a bit unorganized.
Colors of the Great Southwest was absolutely outstanding. The travel guide was very personable, task oriented, and kept us moving forward successfully. She was extremely knowledgeable about each area we traversed and letting us listen to music on the bus as we all marveled at the western scenery was exhilarating.
Add Telluride to the trip as a regular day. Helicopter fixed wing amazing maybe have a trip that you had a day and have a hot air balloon in Albuquerque, which is what we did after your trip.
A great thing about this itinerary is that you actually stay at the Grand Canyon village so you can walk to see the sunrise or sunset as you wish , or simply go for a walk by the rim after breakfast when no-one else is about. Also included is a stop at the lookout which gives excellent views of the Colorado River. Horseshoe Bend and Monument Valley are great but the highlight for us was the Arches. The itinerary winds down a bit after Mesa Verde, but Taos Pueblo was fascinating. The optional extras are maybe a touch expensive but we thoroughly enjoyed the Colorado boat ride and the trip to Silverton from which we returned by the heritage train which we thought was well worth it.
