This reservoir is visited by over 2 million people every year, and once you catch it IRL you'll understand exactly why. And now for the one you've been dreaming about (even more than the rest). The star of your USA itinerary. Yup, it's the Grand Canyon. It's about to get extra special too, because tonight we'll be marvelling at the sunset from the South Rim. day 12 - Las Vegas to Los Angeles
After partying it up in Las Vegas, we'll take the scenic route through the Mojave Desert. And there you have it, folks. We may have run out of road on our USA road trip but things could be worse - you're in the City of Angels after all! There are plenty of activities here to keep the stars in your eyes, and if you're strapped for ideas, you could always set about planning the next adventure with your new Contiki family (just a thought).
You get what you expect from Contiki. The trip was very well organized by the trip manager, who was also very friendly and knowledgeable. For my personal liking, it could have been shortened by starting in Denver or Albuquerque, since the days before are mostly about driving with only one free-time activity.
The activities in general are a lot of fun, but you can still have a great time if you choose not to join them, as the national parks themselves offer plenty to do. I strongly recommend the jeep tour in Moab, though.
All the hotels are at least solid, if not better. Note that this trip is part of the larger USA road trip, so you’ll be joining a group that has already been traveling together for 11 days and has seen many people come and go along the way.

I loved this trip! Seeing the national parks was a huge bucket list moment for me and I met some of my best friends on this trip. Denver was a waste—not much to do there and I wish we’d spent more time in the actual national parks versus all the time spent in Amarillo, Albuquerque, and Denver. Our guide, was incredible although a little unprofessional with language but she was so cool. Definitely recommend!
