We loved the bike/barge trip. The countryside in the south of France was beautiful. The crew and guide - Hugo were very helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The cabins are not big (an understatement) but they were sufficient as you are actually out all day.
The food was better than we expected. My suggestions to make it better:
The cycling on the first day around Avignon is too long, on the first day it could be 2 hours shorter. The ride through the Camargue to meet the boat further down river was unnecessary. We could have stayed on the boat and had a bit more of a relax after a 65km ride the day before. We dont agree with the gratuity at the end of the trip. Why is an additional payment required for them doing their job (dont get me wrong , i thought all the crew were brilliant, i just dont agree with gratuities)
