The Land of a Million Elephants, as Laos was once known, is a haven in a fast-paced world, a country whose citizens have retained a charm and grace that is as rare as it is valuable. The mountains and rivers are pristine in this land-locked country bounded by China, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
As part of Indochina, Laos was colonized by the French and the cities of Vientiane, Luang Prabang and Pakse have inherited the classical, elegant, if a bit faded, character only French architects can inspire. Laos has fascinating sights to offer: the Plain of Jars in Xieng Khuang Province, the forested mountains of Northern Laos, the gothic limestone karsts around Vang Vieng and Si Phan Don (Four Thousand Islands) where the mighty Mekong spreads in the Southern Laos. However, it is the warmth and sincere friendliness of its people that will live forever in the hearts of anyone fortunate enough to visit.
Our Southern Laos tour is a sojourn along the Mekong River to the former colonial outpost of Champasak, the serene beauty of Si Phan Don and the rich fertile lands of the coffee growing Bolevan Plateau. From the natural attractions of amazing waterfalls to the jungle wildlife to the cultural Khmer temples of Wat Phu, this tour explores the quiet back roads of South Laos.

On this bike tour, you’ll discover why Slovakia is affectionately known as the “Little Big Country.” From the towering Carpathian Mountains in the north to the farm-covered Danubian plains in the south, we ride on gravel trails through dense forests, climb over scenic passes, and enjoy quiet views of the rustic countryside. The cherry on top: a classic ride along the Danube to reach Budapest. While the route offers diverse challenges, the pace remains unhurried, allowing ample time to explore heritage sites, unwind in old town squares, and savor local delicacies.
We meet by the scenic montane lake of Strbske Pleso and head west through the wilds of High Tatras National Park. Our route then takes us into the heart of Slovakia, cycling amidst a terrain of low-rising, forested mountains and pasture-filled valleys. We visit the isolated, historic village of Vlkolínec and spend a night in the town of Banska Stiavnica, renowned for its legacy of gold and silver mining during the Medieval and Renaissance periods. Both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. A final downhill takes us out of the Carpathian Mountains and into the wide, open plains of southern Slovakia. We cross the mighty Danube and follow its course on the Hungarian side from Esztergom, home to Hungary’s most splendid Catholic basilica, to the glittering, stately capital city of Budapest. The tour ends in Budapest.
Join us on this finely-tuned Central European bike tour from the Carpathians to the Danube!
Combine this tour with “Cycling Krakow to High Tatras” and make it a 15-day, three-country journey from the heights of the Carpathians to the banks of the Danube! Departure dates are aligned to continue from the same hotel in Strbske Pleso. Click here to see the tour details.

Deep in the heart of Turkey Kapadokya, ancient volcanic eruptions dispersed thick ash, which solidified into a soft rock—called tuff—tens of metres thick. Wind and water went to work on this plateau creating a fairy tale landscape of cones, pillars, pinnacles, mushrooms, and chimneys. Thousands of years ago, humans took a cue from Mother Nature carved tunnels into the soft rock, and an underground urbanized landscape was created, living at one with nature rather than imposing upon it.
This moderate mountain biking tour is a journey of adventure and discovery, taking to a network of little used dirt roads and not too technical single track MTB trails as it winds its way across the region – including the Ihlara Canyon, Soganli Valley, and the “Fairy Chimney” landscape that stretches from Mustafapasa to Goreme.
Combining the best of remote, wilderness off road adventure biking with plenty of sights, sounds and new experiences along the way. It’s this mix of attractions that makes Cappadocia such a compelling destination and we discover the most captivating highlights, escape the tourist crowds and discover the true character and charm of this magical place and it’s people, by bicycle!
This tour includes a total ascent of 3,567 metres.
Recommended additional activity in Goreme: Discover Cappadocia from a different perspective by hopping on a hot air balloon ride. Enjoy the beautiful scenery while drifting leisurely over the region's fairy chimneys, stunning rock formations and picturesque valleys. Contact us for more information.

After landing in Denpasar, Bali’s main urban centre, we will whisk you out to a nearby village where you unwind after your journey and hit the beach before the cycling begins. The next morning, we will head up to the slopes of Mount Batur, the gigantic volcano to the north. We ride across lava fields and explore the base of the volcanic cone. Our next ride takes us down the slopes and across a mountain pass between two other volcanoes, Abang and Agung. We emerge at a beach once more, this time on the eastern coast of Bali. The following day’s ride is an exploration of mighty Mount Agung, including the ruins of a Hindu water palace. We spend the night at beautiful Candidasa Beach. Heading to the highlands once more, we ride from the slopes of Agung down to the famous spiritual and artistic centre of Ubud. After exploration of the town and a good night’s sleep, embark on a loop ride out of the town and into the surrounding rice paddies and jungle ravines, coming across beautiful sculptures and temples among the groves. From the climbs framed by snow-dusted peaks of the High Atlas to sweeping descents into palm-lined oases, this 10-day tour is for cyclists who love a good hill with an even better view. For cyclists who relish a ride that challenges and rewards in equal measure. Our Road Cycling Morocco: Atlas to Atlantic ride is all about the cols, the authentic culture, the camaraderie and of course, the epic scenery.
Arrive in lively and exotic Marrakesh and start things off by sampling two staples of this tour: views of the Atlas mountains in the distance, and renowned Moroccan hospitality at our traditional riad accommodation. The cycling begins just outside the city, in the foothills of the Atlas, to test the legs and get a feel for the terrain before climbing into the stunning High Atlas. Enjoy the fresh air, spectacular views, and authentic local culture and hospitality in the remote villages along the way.
Head further into Berber territory of the Anti-Atlas, as the landscape becomes drier and dotted with otherworldly rock formations, canyons, and hidden desert oases. Fantastic cycling awaits in the arid hills around Tafraout, Morocco's almond-growing regions, and paradisical valleys along the path to the Atlantic Coast. The climbs don't come easy, but the views, the experience, and the descents are worth it. Celebrate the journey in ancient Essaouira by the sea, before travelling back to Marrakesh for a final taste of Moroccan culture.

Vietnam’s millenia-long history and sophisticated culture can often seem as vast as the country’s great expanse from north to south. Our Vietnam Heritage by Bicycle tour reveals the essence of this intriguing fusion. The cycling routes blossom from the ancient settlements of Hue and Hoi An that have borne witness to pivotal events in the life of the country, arcing across the legendary Hai Van (Ocean Cloud) Pass on one of Vietnam’s iconic coastal roads. Each day brings a stellar mix of cycling and cultural exploration. At Hue, imperial capital of the Nguyen Dynasty, wander feng shui gardens surrounding ornate monuments to the emperors. Cross the Perfume River, enjoying the tropical scent of flowers which inspired its name, and ride to the impressive Thien Mu Pagoda in its majestic location. Witness the timeless agricultural life of Hue province, then cycle down the coastal road across the storied Hai Van Pass and visit My Son, built by the kings of Champa between the 4th and 14th centuries, now the site of the most extensive Cham remains. Explore hidden villages to meet artisans making colorful incense, rice wine, and wood carvings. Mingle with the market vendors amid the graceful architecture of old Hoi An and sample the local delicacies prepared with pride by local chefs.

This was our 3rd tour with this operator and we will definitely do another trip in the near future. We brought 2 couples along with us and they too want to do another tour! We were Impressed with the itinerary and the organizing of each day.
Each guide has his strengths. Mr. Anh Co was an excellent educator and guide. During the bus transfers, he answered questions we had regarding his country. He also educated the group about the history and current events of his country. He had to occasionally adjust our itinerary due to road construction or adverse conditions and he always had our safety as his top priority. Mr. Anh Co took many pictures of the riders and took the time to email us all the photos.
Mr. Kloth for our Cambodia portion was a strong, organized rider. We had some long days in the saddle and I liked how he compartmentalized the ride into shorter increments (i.e.: 20 km, 20km, 15, 15, 10, 10 totaling 90 kms!), which physiologically the 90 kms was easier! Mr Kloth and his team were very cohesive and they worked well together.
