I had a wonderful time trekking to the Everest Base Camp with Nepal Eco. Chhatra was very enthusiastic in our communications before the trip and furnished me readily with the necessary details of visa, permits, documents, equipment, etc. He responds speedily and is meticulous in his information. My guide, Dawa, was an affable and jovial personality who was always glad to share his abundance of technical and cultural knowledge. We had quite a few drinks together and had a whale of a time in the mountains. I was unfortunate to meet with some ATM hiccups and ran out of cash mid-trek, but Dawa came to the rescue, lending me money and sponsoring my tea most of the time.
After the EBC trek I was supposed to continue on to Island peak, but heeding Dawa's advice on the foul weather I decided against it. Chhatra was kind enough to reimburse me for that part of the trip; I believe few agencies would be as transparent and generous as he. Safe to say, I had the time of my life nonetheless, and it's all thanks to these guys.
Wonderful trek experience, my favorite part was the Tsum Valley extension - walking through the pine forest, with rhododendrons in bloom and surrounded by birdsong, was lovely, particularly with the reduced levels of donkey traffic relative to the main route! Crossing the Larkya La in perfect weather made for a stunning climax to the trip.
Just completed the Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Ri, Cho-La and EBC treks with this local travel expert and had an unforgettable experience. Throughout the whole process Chhatra was an impressive communicator - very responsive, simple, clear and informative. Our guide (Rinji) and porter (also Rinji !!) were incredibly flexible in helping us make the impossible, possible - whilst always looking out for our health and wellbeing. I cannot more highly recommend this agency for your Himalaya adventure - the whole team was truly incredible - experienced, knowledgable and well connected to all the best places to stay along the way. The trek was excellent although tough in the short timescale but I wanted the challenge. For others make sure youre happy with the non acclimatisation days, I had the full information and I chose to take the shorter trek. Off season in January although cold was a great time to trek as far less people on the trail as I hear spring time is just to hectic. Even in the winter you get warm during the daytime treking.

A wonderful little try through the foothills of the Himalayas. Not particularly difficult, one just needs a little determination after a few days of walking downhill in snow. BEAUTIFUL views from Poonhill and throughout the entire trek. The hot springs are a great touch at the end as well. Beware of donkeys!
Although I wanted something off the beaten path, I worried this route might not be challenging enough. But I instantly realized this would be a worthy adventure with the warmest hospitality.
The trails are generally good, but you should know that the whole trip is generally straight up and down. Make sure you have walking sticks and if youre not used to hiking for several days with a pack you should consider hire a porter to carry your pack.
I recently did a trek to Mera Peak with this local operator. I highly recommend them as a trekking company. The company is very efficient and communication with them was very good and prompt prior to and after the trip. The booking process was very straightforward and easy. The company provided us with Down Jacket, sleeping bag and walking poles for the trek which were all of excellent quality.
The team of guide and porters were fantastic, they were always willing to assist and support throughout the trip and always went above and beyond.
