Absolutely wonderful experience climbing Kilimanjaro. From pre-tour planning at home to be picked up and dropped off at the airport and everything in between was well managed. Our guide made us feel as if we were his family and took good care of us. Even the meals prepared during the climb were delicious. We are glad that he led us to Kili and back. Our Last Shangri-la Tour begins with sightseeing in the country’s capital, Thimphu, where we visit landmarks such as the Memorial Chhorten, mini- zoo, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, folk heritage museum and the majestic Tashichho Dzong.
Next, we travel to Punakha via Dochu La pass (3,100 m) and visit the Chimi Lhakhang temple along the way. We will also visit the Punakha Dzong and explore the amazing Gangtey village before heading to Paro.
In the beautiful Paro valley, we visit Rinpung Dzong and Kichu Lhakhang temple. Our tour ends with a hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery, which is a perfect way to end one's journey in the last Shangri-La.

This 18-day, guided trip will take you to the top of Mera Peak (6,461 m), one of the most sought-after trekking peaks in Nepal. Starting from Kathmandu, the Nepalese capital city, we will fly to Lukla and continue our journey to Mera Peak Base Camp via Pangkongma, Chhatra Khola and Khare until we reach the upper edge of the famous Khumbu region, home to some of the highest peaks in the world.
Summit the peak under the watchful supervision of our expert guide. In case the day is clear, you will enjoy stunning views from atop the peak, before heading down the same route.
Staying in Hotel Moonlight or similar on arrival in Kathmandu. Standard teahouses and tents will be used for accommodation during the trek. Please note that most teahouses only have shared toilet facilities. For tent accommodation, a four-season sleeping bag and a foam mattress will be provided. All accommodations in Kathmandu and in teahouses are on a twin-shared basis.
We can request for a single room in Kathmandu and during the trek (wherever possible) at an additional single supplement fee of USD 350 per person. However, single supplement during the trek will not be possible everyday since there are several teahouses along the trekking route that do not allow single room accommodation. At most, you will get single rooms only in lower-elevation areas.

Looking for a long, safe route to the top of Africa's highest peak with necessary acclimatization time built-in? The Northern Circuit route is not just one of the best routes but also the newest official route to ascend Mt. Kilimanjaro. This special route is also the least used and the longest route, perfect for those seeking a remote, peaceful trek. Trekking this trail guarantees excellent acclimatization changeover and exceptional views from the northern slope of the mountain.
The Northern Circuit follows the Lemosho route for the first few days, then ascending the Shira Ridge to cross the high Shira Plateau. Trekkers will leave the Lemosho route to turn northwards and follow the main circuit when approaching near the Lava Tower. Circling clockwise from Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp, trekkers will pass through School Hut before finally summitting from the east. The descent is made via the Mweka route, where it is likely for trekkers to encounter other trekkers from the Lemosho, Shira, Umbwe, Machame or the Marangu routes.

Me along with two of my friends did the two-week Khopra ridge community trek. The was a fun guy with lot of knowledge about the mountains. He was equally helpful and very caring. The trip begins with sightseeing of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu and takes adventurers to trek in the beautiful Manaslu region. While on the trip, we get to marvel at the magnificent views of Mount Manaslu (8163m), the eighth tallest mountain in the world, coupled with a chance to witness the rich local heritage and biological diversity of the region. The highest point in this trek is the ‘Larkya La Pass’ which is widely believed to be one of the most dramatic passes crossing the Himalayas.
Like all our carefully-planned itineraries, this trek also ensures adequate time for proper acclimatization. Much of the trek involves walking on mountain trails and is within the capabilities of people with good cardiovascular fitness. Pokalde Peak or the Dolma Ri (5806m) is comparatively the easiest climb. Island Peak (6,189m), originally known as the Imja Tse, is located in the heart of the Everest region and derives its name from its striking location in the middle of the Chhukung valley, like an Island on a sea of ice. It is a tougher climb than Pokalde, but still, Mount Lobuche East (6119m) climb is the most challenging of the three.
We'll begin our trip following the famous Everest trail via Namche, Tengboche, and Dingboche. The trail to Pokalde Peak deviates from Dingboche while following through the usual route to Everest Base Camp. We will cross the Kongma La pass (5,535 meters) to reach the high camp of the peak. The trek from the camp through the rocky trail eventually rewards you with an extraordinary mountain spectacle including Mt Makalu, Ama Dablam, Pumori, and a vast mountain vista of the Khumbu region. After summiting Pokalde Peak, we trek to Chhukung for our next target, Island Peak. Hard efforts getting to the top of Island peak are worth finding Lhotse, Nuptse, Baruntse, Ama Dablam and Makalu at tip of your nose. Having done Island peak we descend down to Dingboche, trek up to Everest Base camp and Kala Patthar and move forward to Lobuche East peak. Having done with Lobuche East peak, one of the most challenging among 'trekkers peaks' in the Everest region we retrace our path to Lukla via Namche with a sense of achievement.
