With this 2 weeks in Panama itinerary, you get to see the best of everything. Start your adventure in Panama City. Embark on a tour and partial transit of the Panama Canal, marveling at the Miraflores Lock, the Pedro Miguel Locks, the Gaillard Cut, and Lake Gatún. Arrive back in the capital, and enjoy a walking tour around the UNESCO World Heritage Center. Built in 1673, you can see historic sites like the National Theater, Plaza de Francia, and the Museum of Old Panama. Next, hit the road to El Valle de Antón, known for its lush greenery and the El Macho waterfalls. You can enjoy a few short hikes here before getting back on the Pan-American Highway to Natá de los Caballeros where you can visit one of the oldest churches in the country. Continue to Parita where you’ll meet a maker of the authentic Diablicos masks and learn about the tradition. Arrive in the beach city of Las Tablas for an afternoon before heading to the small village of Oria Arriba where you’ll visit a sugar plantation and a tobacco plantation to see how this process works. Arrive in Panama City and transfer to the port city of Colon where you can board your cruise for the next few nights.
