Begin your adventure in Bhutan with a tour of the 17th-century Rinpung Dzong (a dzong is a Bhutanese fort and monastery). Next day, hike to Bhutan’s most famous monastery, Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched at the edge of a 3180-meter-high mountain. Enjoy the picturesque drive to Punakha Dzong as you cross rhododendrons and fir forests. The next day, admire the paintings depicting the lineage of the Bhutanese monarchy at Druk Wangyal Monastery. A ferry will take you from Bangkok to Koh Samui Island, where you can catch a marvelous sunset at Chaweng Beach. The next day, go on an exciting snorkeling adventure at Ang Thong National Marine Park, home to species like green sea turtles and yellow-spotted trevally. On the sixth day, the Malaysia leg of your adventure begins. Your first stop is the island of Penang, an ideal place for strolling the streets.
