Lobuche Peak Climbing is an unforgettable experience for climbers wanting to conquer Lobuche Peak having a height of 6119m/20070ft. Located in the Khumbu region, there are two distinctive summits associated to Lobuche Peak: Lobuche East 6119m/20070ft and Lobuche West 6145m. On this tour you will be summiting Lobuche East peak.

Lobuche East is an attractive peak that comprises of several small summits. Climbing the true summit, which we will do on this tour, requires assistance of experts and experienced climbers as the climbing is done through steep snow and ice slopes. You don't have to be a climbing expert to do the climb, however, as our experiences sherpas will help even beginners without any climbing experience, with reaching the true summit as well!

Climbing Lobuche Peak starts with a scenic flight to Lukla - the gateway to the Everest and Khumbu Region. Following the impressive trail, we walk through dense rhododendron forest towards Namche Bazaar, the capital of the Everest region. After a few days trekking we will reach Lobuche East Base Camp, the starting point of our our climb.

Once we have checked our physical and mental fitness we prep ourselves and our climbing gear for the summit attempt. When reaching the summit, we will be able to enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Everest 8848m, Mt. Lhotse 8516m, Mt. Makalu 8463m, Mt. Nuptse 7861m, Mt. Pumori 7161m, and the majestic Mt. Ama Dablam 6812m, including other peaks. We stay only a short while on the summit, after which we back down again towards Base Camp.

Getting back to Base Camp also marks the turnaround point of this tour. We will now re-trace our steps back, passing through Namche Bazaar and back to Lukla, where we take a return flight back to Kathmandu.

Please see the detailed itinerary for much more detailed information. If any questions, please do not hesitate to make an enquiry and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.

“I completed this 18-day trip with Nepal Guide Treks & Expedition with my friends. We feel completely safe and very well taken care by our guide Sumek who manages us all to have a very good time. It was truly an unforgettable trek for life to EBC, which is also the most popular trek in the world. Later we climbed the Lobuche peak, which was challenging and intense, but by the time when we reached the top, the atmosphere was different, we were happy to see the surrounding peaks and enjoy that movement. And we were all charged up for achieving another peak but later in future. Thanks, NG”

Today is a rather short and easy day of trekking. We will spend some time in Lobuche before following an easy trail that leads to Lobuche Peak Base Camp. Once we arrive at the base camp our Sherpa crew will set up the camp and make necessary preparations for setting up additional camps at higher altitudes. Since it is a short day of trekking we will have enough time to rest, much needed for further climb to higher altitudes and for the main summit climb of Lobuche Peak.

Leaving the base camp we will follow a narrow trail that is often snow covered and icy. We may have to make use of ropes and crampons during our climbing trek today. Our ascend journey can be very tiring, so resting every now and then helps in restoring energy. We will reach a good campsite at 5400 meters, our Sherpa crew will quickly set up the camp and make final checks on our climbing gears and our health conditions before the main summit climb of Lobuche Peak, the following day.

Our tiring climb to the summit is rewarded with magnificent views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam and other surrounding high peaks. We will spend short quality time at the summit before descending down following the same route and head back to reach the base camp.

How our Travel Expert Service Works
  • 1 We connect you with a hand-picked and qualified travel expert who can match your trip requirements. The advantage of working directly through a travel expert is that you get the best and unfiltered advice from the very beginning.
  • 2 The travel expert will help you with creating and customising a trip for you. If you have any questions or concerns relating to the trip, the travel expert will also be able to help you with those.
  • 3 When you feel that your trip is exactly per your wish, you'll be able to book the entire trip here on Bookmundi.
The Advantages of Bookmundi
  • Selected Local Travel Experts All our local travel experts have been chosen based on rigorous selection criteria. In fact, we reject 98 out of 100 local travel agencies, and thereby giving you access to the top 1-2% local travel experts.
  • Secure Online Payment and Financial Guarantee Each and every trip is required to go through Bookmundi's secure payment platform, powered by Stripe and supported by SSL. All payments are therefore carried out in secure manners. We are furthermore member of the Danish Travel Fund which gives you a 100% financial guarantee for any money you pay on Bookmundi, even if we went bankrupt (which we we will not!).
  • Trip Replacement or 100% Reimbursement Bookmundi has hand-picked your local travel expert. Our role, as your trusted third party, is therefore to make sure that your entire experience runs as seamless and secure as possible. We guarantee to you that in the unlikely event where a local travel expert cancels your trip after your deposit or full payment has been made, we commit to replacing these services with another equally qualified agency so that your trip can go ahead as planned, or failing to replace it, we will give you a 100% reimbursement.
