Iran Customized Tours and Trips

I was born in Tehran, the capital city of Iran, a lovely place where I grew up. I earned my B.A in English literature from Varamin University. I have always been interested in discovering my country and learning more about its culture and history. I love to explain and show this beautiful country to others, especially foreigners. So, I studied tourism and passed the tour guide courses at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts in Iran. To me, it seems that the media does not understand the reality of Iran or portray its beauty. I deeply want to show Iran to foreign tourists "as it is". As for me, I really love studying English literature and language. I also love working with computers and trying to learn new things about them. In my free time, I read, listen to music and play Kalimba, and whenever I can, I travel and visit new places.

As far as I can remember, travelling around the world has been my ultimate goal in life. I was little when I first entered the airport in my hometown and I was captivated by the liveliness and bustle, even in the middle of the night. This dream stayed with me, and when I got older, I became a flight attendant. After almost 5 years on the job, I had travelled to many different places around the world. Visiting all these places and learning about so many different cultures inspired me to take the next step and pursue my interest in another field of the tourism industry as a travel operator. I have since travelled completely around Iran twice and feel confident in offering the best of my country to anyone who is interested to see and learn about this magnificent place.

I believe that travel is the greatest way to learn — about other countries, about other cultures, and most importantly, about yourself. I was born and bred in Melbourne, Australia but have lived in London and Dubai throughout a successful and expansive career in hospitality. However, in my late 30's, I decided to see the world from the perspective of a bicycle. So I started an epic journey from London to Melbourne, which took two and a half years, covered 28,000 km, and crossed 26 countries. It's fair to say that life was never going to be the same! Cycling across the world inspired me to raise money for a charity. Not content with the transparency of some of the bigger international aid organizations, I started my own. After raising over £12K, I set off full of great intentions and no idea! Engaging with and learning from local NGOs gave me insight into culture and community that no museum or monument ever could. It truly took travel to new depths and gave so much richness to the experience. Being in a position to support such noble, local social impact projects was truly humbling. After arriving back in Melbourne, I started my own social tour company to offer anyone a two-week snapshot of my two-year adventure. We give everybody the chance to discover a country by bicycle, learn through local NGOs about today and what tomorrow looks like, and learn about themselves through an epic adventure that challenges them both physically and mentally.

I was born and raised in Iran. I have been traveling in Iran since I was 20 and for the last 3 years, I have been working as a tour guide. In my free time, I love to hike and enjoy the silence and peace in the mountains. I also like visiting Iranian villages and seeking out hospitable locals, especially along the southern coastline, where there are stunning landscapes and islands like Qeshm island in the Persian Gulf. I studied civil engineering, so I am fascinated by old construction methods and architecture. I like Iranian architecture and following its evolution from the Achaemenid empire, from huge columns and beams and engravings of Persepolis to magnificent domes and tile works of Naqsh-e-Jahan Square – how perfect and how detailed they are.
