Reviews of our Zimbabwe Tours for September
Feedback from guests who toured Zimbabwe during September.
A truly wonderful trip. A chance to travel into Zimbabwe - an African country I hadn’t visited before - and to revisit Botswana staying in comfortable lodges, plus the highlight of wild camping for 2 nights in the Okavango Delta. Very comfortable transport which was appreciated on the couple of long drives on bumpy roads. A great group of travel companions (including our guide) who enjoyed the shared experiences and lots of laughter and banter during evening meals and a memorable sunset cruise.
This is an outstanding tour that involves significant road travel, superb landscapes and wildlife sightings together with excellent accommodation. Our guide (Nonki) is a lovely lady who treated us very well while maintaining the schedule appropriately.
An amazing adventure! One that I will never forget and will keep telling others about for years, until I get to go on another one! We were treated like we were the most important people they had ever met and saw Africa in a way that I never thought I would get to see! Will definitely recommend using G Adventures to everyone!
Overall, this was a great trip that provided a variety of experiences, from the sand dunes in Namibia to the Okavango Delta to Victoria Falls. I would highly recommend this trip.
This was the trip of a lifetime. It was entirely worry-free the whole time. The group size was great. It was a shame that it was 2 tours together because we didn't get to know some of the newcomers as well as those of us doing the full tour. It was also sad to say goodbye to some travelers part way through. I saw everything I had hoped to and more. Everyone on the tour was friendly and reasonable. The pre-tour information that was provided was quite general. For example no clear definition of what a "lodge" vs. a "hotel" vs. "guesthouse" actually is. Also, in Chobe we were told we needed "camouflage" or neutral coloured clothing. This was information was not provided beforehand. More information on currency could have been provided, specifically for Botswana where the currency cannot be obtained outside of the country. I was told Mastercard was not widely accepted and I should get a Visa card but I really didn't need one.
It was a dream come true! The things we experienced as a family, the knowledge we gained about that part of the world and the new understandings we came home with due to the knowledge, experience and passions of our CEO, were unforgettable and priceless. None of us wanted to come home; Berven & Auther made us feel like this was our second home.
