You will be met on arrival at the Victoria Falls airport, road transferred to Hwange National Park for a two and half days big-5 safari before returning to Victoria Falls for another three days of activities. Accommodation will be in 4-star hotels - no camping unless requested. Transfers are in clean air-conditioned mini-buses. We will walk with you in the rainforest, take you on a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi River, show you how to eat the Mopani worm and take pictures while you do the bungee jumping, the gorge swing or the walking with the lions adventure. You will also get to visit the famous Chobe National Park of Botswana for a one full day safari that comprises a 3-hour boat cruise on the Chobe river and another 3-hour game drive in the Chobe National Park

Meet and greet at Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) or the Livingstone airport (Zambia) and transfer to your hotel in Victoria Falls. Later in the day, enjoy sunset boat cruise on the mighty Zambezi River with snacks and drinks all compilimentery. The first dinner will be at the Boma restaurant where we show you how to taste the Mopani worm, (a local delicacy). Enjoy a walk in the Victoria Falls rainforest and a visit to the rural communities in the mid morning the next day before taking it easy at the hotel in the afternoon. The third day will see you in Chobe National Park for the cruise on the Chobe river and an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National park. Departure times for the airport on the last day will depend on you flight times usually two and half hours before your flight. Enjoy!

Chobe National Park Extended Day Trip

Maximize your chances of viewing wildlife in Chobe National Park on this full-day excursion from Victoria Falls. Go on a safari through the park and cruise down the Chobe River with an experienced guide to see big cats and tropical birds in their natural habitat. You will be picked up from Victoria Falls at 05:00 am and transferred to Chobe National Park. The half-day safari starts at around 06:30 in the morning and gives you a chance to get up close with nature in specially adapted off road vehicles. Lion sightings are fairly frequent in this nature reserve and most antelopes can be seen year round. Leopards are also not rare in the area. You will travel along the national park's waterfront, where animals congregate, with predators often lying in wait or just dozing in the shade. The drive will continue until 12:30 in the afternoon. After lunch, you will have some time to relax before a three-hour boat cruise on the Chobe River, which starts at 3:00 pm and ends at 6:00 in the evening. The cruise gives you the opportunity to see lots of waders and water birds along with other animals. You will be back in Victoria Falls at around 8:00 pm.

There was no tour leader on this 3 night trip to Victoria Falls. The hotel was of a very high standard and the trip around Victoria Falls was well guided by a local guide. The food at the hotel was excellent and I enjoyed strolling through the grounds of the hotel. I booked a helicopter ride through the hotel, but should have booked direct as this would have been cheaper. Overall a lovely extension to the Garden Route holiday.

My experience with G adventures in Africa was once in a lifetime. From the people on the tour to the safaris done in each location, I will never forget my time on this tour. Would recommend to anyone! As a female, I also felt very safe. One note, the whole trip is tent camping, so be prepared! Although upgrades are offered on most nights (excluding 2), they cost approximately 50-100$ so keep that in mind.
