Serbia Trip Deals Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our Travel deals Serbia tours.
Wonderful experience.Fast paced from morning to evening if you are doing the optional excursions. That is one thing tho,I felt some of the optional should have been included.Accomodations were excellent.Overall a good experience.
It had a great pace with options for more free time or more activity. It’s a wild part of the world. Loved every minute of it. Our tour guide was fantastic.
Trafalgar does an incredible job trying to coordinate 7 countries into 14 days. It’s very fast paced! One day we spent 12 hours on the bus, with stops every 2 hours of course. Personally, I would have enjoyed more free time and less time on the bus but with the distance between countries the only way to do that is to make the trip itself longer. Having said that, our guide was amazing! My tour mates were some of the best ever so ultimately it was a wonderful experience. The Balkans are delightful, the gorgeous countryside was a real surprise and the food quite tasty. I’ll definitely go back to North Macedonia’s town of Struga, to Sarajevo and to anywhere in Montenegro. Side note: I would suggest the Astoria Grand Hotel in Sofia Bulgaria be switched to one that doesn’t have a casino. Our no smoking rooms still had so much of a smoking scent. Couldn’t wait to leave it.
Positives: 1) First off, this is the best trip out there I could find to see the majority of the Balkan countries in a 2 week trip. 2) Our excellent tour director (Tammy) was entertaining, organized and very personable and caring for our large group of 41 travelers. This was not an easy task as there were a couple of people that were constantly late, keeping the group waiting. 3) Hotels all had good to very good breakfast to start your early days. 4) Hotels in cities that allowed for some free time were in good locations for walking to city centers and sites. 5) We had a lot of fun and interesting people on the tour and plenty of time to meet and engage with everyone. Areas for improvement: 1) 2) There's a lot of driving so be prepared for long days on the road. Expect a good 4-8 hours on the road and more hours in gas stations and rest stops for required breaks every couple of hours. 3) City sightseeing tours were good to very good/excellent and varied by city (they seemed to get better as the trip progressed). Unfortunately, after the tours we usually only had 1 to 2 hrs afterwards to eat lunch and "buy souvenirs" so there was little to no time in most of the one night cities to do any sightseeing on your own if you wanted to have lunch before continuing the tour.
