amazing experience, Petra is mind blowing. Hotels excellent apart from the substandard catering in Edom Hotel, but made up for the location only 2 minute walk to the visitor centre. Mo the guide was second to none and Ali the driver did us proud with luxury coach and excellent driving despite some long journeys. The desert experience was great fun especially the sun set and star gazing with great hospitality by the Bedouin people. Did the camel ride and really recommend. Fantastic day at the Red Sea with brilliant boat trip and snorkeling organised by Mo recommend to all future travellers. Great hotel over night stay. Time at the Dead Sea was wonderful and would have loved to stay there longer over night in the hotel and transferred from there to the airport rather than go back to Amman. Perhaps that would be possible by including Little Petra tour in the first day, something to think about. So glad i travelled with you and a great bunch of people on the trip. Thank you.

The hotels generally were extremely spacious, clean with lots of amenities available. My only reduced point was the availability of fruits across the board in all of the hotels at breakfast. The night in Petra was amazing but felt a little rushed in both the experience and light show in explanations through the life ages in the changes in Petra. This was quite expensive. One possible option that could be added to make it a 10 day holiday is that of the option to stay overnight at hotel and SPA in Aquba at the dead sea resort to enable more time to enjoy fully and pool. Overall the whole experience, was amazing and was of the exact mix of site seeing experiences alongside explanations of the historic events associated. The best atribute to the experience and company of Explore was due to our tour guide Mo.The warmth and knowledge, care of our tour guide Mo was outstanding and went above and beyond. He ensured that everyone was included all needs were met and offered suggestions/pointers of other areas/sights/restaurants to explore.

This was a very busy tour that delivered everything that was promised and plenty more! Our tour leader, Abdullah, was absolutely incredible, his knowledge of his country was second to none, he was always willing to answer questions, friendly, approachable and a brilliant sense of humour! Our driver, Mohammed was absolutely excellent too! The tour is well planned out to fit everything in, days are busy and you do need a good pair of walking shoes and plenty of energy for Petra, but having two days there is perfect to be able to see it all. Petra by night was incredible and I highly recommend this. The night in the desert was just amazing, to be in such a place, the 4x4 tour excellent and the opportunity to ride a well cared for camel excellent too. The red sea was lovely, and I recommend the boat trip! And floating on the dead sea surreal. I arrived a day early and had an extra night before the tour and I'd highly recommend this, as flights into Jordan from the UK arrive late and this means that you can have a more relaxed first day. It also gives the opportunity to see more of Amman, I went to the Jordan Museum which was absolutely excellent and also to Rainbow Street. Both places worth seeing and not part of the Tour. Jordan has seen it's visitor numbers drop drastically in the past couple of years due to a war that has never been theres. Tourism has suffered, yet we never saw or heard any trouble or felt unsafe while we were there. It is, and it remains a safe country to visit, the people are very welcoming. Places like Petra are very quiet at the moment, so it's a great time to visit.

Jordan is an extraordinary, beautiful and very safe country to travel . The people are very warm, friendly and helpful. Our tour guide, Abdullah, was amazing, so knowledgeable, witty, kind and generous going over and beyond to make our trip such a success. I couldn’t recommend him more highly. His love of Jordan shone through. The itinerary was perfect very full but we got to see all the main sites. The country has a wonderful richness of ancient sites and history. It’s five hours only from the UK and only two hours ahead so very easy to get to. Do go you will be thrilled Petra is a huge fabulous site, The tour is excellent value and Abdullah brilliant. Thank you Explore..

Jordan Discovery was an amazing trip- my best yet with Explore. It was made by the tour leader Abdullah who was incredibly knowledgeable, made sure things ran like clockwork, had an excellent sense of humour, took photographs to document our experience- nothing was too much to ask and his patience was endless. It was clear Jordan is suffering from a lack of tourism due to the conflict in Israel- such a shame for a beautiful country and incredibly safe. Highlights: Petra is stunning and the Petra by Night experience was fabulous; subtly lit and a wonderful animated projection onto the iconic Treasury. Wadi Rumi and the desertscape had a beauty of its own. The Jeep ride was exhilarating and sunset something that actually made me cry. The Dead Sea was a surreal experience, it too had a quality of magic about it- the vast blue. Jordan- a top trip that will live with me forever.

Jordan was such an unexpected variety of history, beauty and fun! 100% safe and stress-free. Our guide Abdullah couldn’t have been any more helpful or enthusiastic about his beloved country. I’m not sure how he retains all the information he does! Highlights were Petra by night, snorkelling in the Red Sea and the sunset at Wadi Rum! We stayed an extra night beforehand to ease us in - which I’d advise. Advise to pack some longer shorts and tops with sleeves but it isn’t as strict as you’d think. Abdullah always advised us what to wear etc. definitely take a hat (we were in summer though!) most men purchased a traditional headscarf to wear. Cash is a defo must and get the most you think you’ll need as you’ll be charged £5 every time you withdraw funds. Defo buy / take snacks as meal times can be later than expected. Abdullah will provide water but take a wide necked bottle to refill. Take beach shoes for the dead sea and the canyon waterfall walk! Take walking shoes for Petra as lots more climbing than i anticipated. You will get V dusty! But it’s all part of the amazing adventure. Do the trip, do the extras, you WONT regret it. Everyone is so happy to see you.
