Admire the archeological masterpieces of Budapest, such as Heroes’ Square and St. Stephen's Basilica, with fellow art lovers. Take a tour of Debrecen, Hungary’s second-largest city, and view its highlights, such as Nagyerdei Viztorony and Déri Museum. Wine connoisseurs can head to Eger, which is home to numerous wine cellars. Vineyard exploration, wine tastings, and discussions with experts are the highlights of Hungary wine tours. Nature lovers can head to UNESCO-listed Hortobagy National Park, home to unique flora and fauna. Spot gray wolf, White-Tailed Eagle, Dalmatian Pelican, and more. There is no shortage of fun for adventure enthusiasts either. You can head to Aggtelek for cave exploration and marvel at intricate stalactite formations with the safety of a group. The Itinerary was was excellent, also it wasn’t a fast paced tour we had ample time in each city to enjoy the sights, listen to the history and we had some really great dinners
1) The pace was nice with plenty of time to do things on your own however, it would be nice if Insight identified local opportunities in advance so we could evaluate and make reservations. As it was, there were 2 places we would have really like to see but they were unavailable once we discovered them. How about a simple list of places to consider such as Belvedere Mansion or Budapest Government House or Klimt Museum for Mucha Museum or the “Most beautiful library in the world”. Places you know fit within the itinerary and hotel locations, not just a link to TripAdvisor. 2) There were people on the tour who couldn’t handle the cobblestones and hills. You need to find a way to move them more efficiently rather than hold up the entire group.
Truly my favourite holiday ever! It was such a jam packed 10 days and I wish we could do it all again. The trip was well thought out, expertly organised and ran, and was designed to ensure we had the most fun!
An amazing way to explore Europe stress free and with built in friends. Rhyannon was an excellent tour guide with helpful knowledge about each place and was always there for every person on the trip. She wasn’t only a tour guide she felt as if she was part of the group herself and was a friend like all the rest. Couldn’t of been happier with the service and humour ;)
I love Eastern Europe for it’s fairy tale landscape specially Cesky Krumlov Picturesque Old town, I love Krakow , historic heart of Krakow is the Old town, The Danube cruise , a relaxing way to experience Europe’s culture and history And my most memorable birthday celebration in a mansion in Vienna Austria’s most famous restaurant where we were transported into another world once inside! I celebrated my birthday in two countries, morning at Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic and Vienna , Austria in the afternoon. Berlin, Dresden Prague are all time favorites, too I had a great time, indeed!
Excellent tour. Saw everything we wanted to see and more. The guide was great, the coach comfortable, and the accommodations were centrally located and top notch for the most part. Enjoyed the optional excursions except felt a bit rushed at times trying to fit it all in. All in all, it was a trip to remember!
