10/10 – Scandinavia was amazing from start to finish. Denmark was the perfect place to begin with its history, cycling culture, incredible pastries and Tivoli Gardens, Norway was absolutely unreal with the most breathtaking fairytale-like scenery imaginable, and Sweden was peaceful, beautiful and charming in its own way. Everything from the accommodation and transport to the activities exceeded expectations, and the perfect mix of culture, history, cities and nature made it one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever taken. I only wish I had more time to explore the Norwegian fjords and mountains because there is still so much to see. But I will be back!
The Finnish Lapland holiday was fantastic from start to end. The activities were very well organised and accompanied by local guides to ensure that all went smoothly. Each day was was an experience not to be missed. The highlight of my stay had to be the magnificent show of the Northern Lights. The Inari Hotel is comfortable, the staff friendly and the food served was excellent.
Very good itinerary. Spending lots of nights inside the Artic circle so that many chances to see the northern lights are there. We were able to see it on three nights.
Great experiences and activities - weather dependent. Our only suggestion is to provide more detailed information on what to bring depending upon the week you book. We ended up purchasing and packing things that were unnecessary.
I really enjoyed the holiday and the activities included, although I would have appreciated longer snowshoe walks. The hotel was comfortable and the equipment/guiding company really helpful. I enjoyed learning about Sami culture and found Finnish people were very genial. Our leader was friendly and highly competent.
It was good, at times a little busy. Possibly should have an extra day in Oslo as by the time we arrived on the plane, we were rushed through the Flam museum, this needed much more time to explore properly. The hotel in Tromso The Moxy whilst close to the airport, was disappointing, the lack of anywhere to wait for check in especially as it was raining, was a design flaw as was their lack of staff at breakfast, so tables weren’t cleared or clean and the food not refilled. The fact that it was not central to town did not allow us to explore at our leisure and had to rely on the bus to shuttle us. The reindeer feeding and cultural experience may not be for everyone, and people need to be warned to wear old clothes as the reindeer push and shove as well as put hooves on you and as it was very muddy, many of us had mud all over our clothes. People who are less stable may be at risk of a fall. The northern lights safari option is very expensive and if the weather is poor the supplier should cancel and not collect money for nothing. There are plenty of opportunities to view the lights. The cruise was excellent and well worth the price. The King crab experience was overpriced it would be better to just go to a local restaurant and sample some. The meal portion was small and not that tasty. Overall the trip was great we saw the lights on 3 occasions and we had snow.
