We throughly enjoyed our trip to the Christmas Markets of Montreal and Quebec. It was cold and windy a few of the days, but that is to be expected in Canada in December. We chose to drive from southern Mass, and it was an easy drive, even though it snowed most of the way. Our tour took us around the cities of each place, and pointed out the highlights of each. We then visited the Christmas Markets in each city. Quebec City was our favorite. The markets there were the best, as were the stores. Chateau Frontenac was beautiful and a must in Quebec City. Bernadette was a great tour manager finding great bus stops and keeping us entertained on the bus. We enjoy the restaurants chosen for dinner, as well as the two excursion; the 'Yule log' making and the breakfast in the sugar shack. Very enjoyable!

Excellent

CharlieTheTraveler was a great company to travel to Canada with. We felt well accompanied, everything was well organized. Once we arrived, we did not have any issue whatsoever. Whenever we had questions, Charlie and our concierge were wonderful at assisting us. I highly recommend!

The trip was excellent, but as the activities by their nature mean the group was spread out during the day, a few more included dinners/evening activities would have helped with bonding

Amazing British Columbia

This was my first holiday with this tour company and also my first small group holiday. I need not have worried on either account. From beginning to end the organisation was first class thanks to our amazing Group leader Heather and a more diverse and relaxed group of fellow travellers would have been hard to find. My concerns about my age, (there were several older than my 65 years) and the amount of walking involved were quickly dispelled and I was able to opt out of hkes to sketch and paint instead.

Excellent

Mike did a great job herding around some Brits, a Brazilian, and a token Canadian... Excellent explanation of the history of the downtown as well as some brilliant insight into the intricacies of the local craft brewing community... Highly recommended!

Sightseeing was limited - most of the two tours, with the local tour guides, were basically bus rides. Sights were pointed out, facts and history explained, but we did not go in to any of the landmarks. Montreal Christmas market was disappointing. Only one small market. The Quebec City markets were better. Overall, our group expected the markets to have more craft and gift items than just food. Quebec City was nice - would go back in the summer/fall time. Hotels were nice and in good locations. Breakfast at Montreal hotel was disappointing. Quebec City hotel offered a buffet. The best excursion was the sugar shack breakfast. Making a Yule log was entertaining. The owners of both locations were nice and informative. Did not like the welcome dinner at the deli. Roger was very friendly, patient and informative. Made the bus rides to and from Quebec City more enjoyable.
