An amazing trip, well worth every penny. We saw so much wildlife and I couldn't believe how close we were to some of the animals! I loved the sunrises on our morning game drives and the wild camping really enhanced the experience. Our guide and his team looked after us so well. The only thing that caught us out was how cold the mornings can be so a woolly hat, gloves and a warm jacket are essential. An incredible experience with wonderful memories!

Our safari with Explore exceeded our expectations. The itinerary covered a number of parks with the opportunity to see a great deal of widlife. The accommodation was varied from luxurious to basic which added to the 'adventure' The camp and boat crews were friendly and competent and provided excellent meals on basic equipment. Our leader Titus must take alot of the credit for the sucess of the trip. His excellet driving and coordinating skills were evident throughout. He showed great respect for those with whom he worked and the same was shown to him making the atmosphere very relaxed. His tracking skills were exceptional giving us some very special memories, particularly 5 chettahs drinking together.

I loved everything I did, the whole itinerary was really good! The world's highest bungee, Bloukrans Bridge, could have been included, because what are the chances of me going back just to do that? Cape Agulhas too, going to the edge of the continent is much cooler than seeing penguins miles away from you (which is what I did). Explored the Garden Route, which is so beautiful. In Namibia, where the desert meets the sea and also Skeleton Bay. These two places appear everywhere you research about this country, it was a little strange not to have experienced them. One thing I really didn't like was the tipping. One of the purposes of Contiki is to travel while saving money, but on this tour, having to tip everyone (all that was missing was having to tip the elephant and the giraffe), it wasn't very nice. Even the extras, who were already being paid, had to tip. For the millions of drivers that we often didn't even have contact with. You have to travel with another $6,000.00 to cover just that. Oh, and if you stay out, the others keep pressuring and humiliating you, which is not nice at all.

Excellent and knowledgeable guide [kk]. Great itinerary and mix of accommodation. Enjoyed the 'wildlife' bush camp experience. The 3 guys that moved camp and looked after us worked really hard and Williams cooking in camp was exceptional. Would definitely recommend.

KK was a fantastic guide. Friendly personality, knowledgable about wildlife and fauna, clever at seeking out wildlife and a great driver. The wild camping was pretty much as we expected except in one aspect : we had not anticipated having such excellent food preopared by our cook William. Bezst food of the holiday and amazing what he managed to cook and bake in his camp kitchen

Excellent

The overall experience was beyond our expectations....the CEO's, the local guides/trackers, lodge staff, and the local people we met were all professional and friendly. The sights, sounds, and of course the abundance of birds and animals made the trip a "lifetime experience".
