Albania Tours in November 2026

A great way to 'explore' this facinating and beautiful country which has had a challenging history - leaving its people with a zest for moving forward but also with a strong pride in thier country and its future.

This fast-paced journey through Albania gave us a great feel of Albania and covered most of the South. From morning swims in Lake Ohrid to soaking in the hot springs near Permet at sunset and exploring the Adriatic at Porto Palermo. Each day offered something new, with just one night in most hotels to maximize our time. Exploring Berat’s castle in the evening, spotting bunkers across the countryside, and ending in the picture-perfect town of Krujë made for unforgettable moments. Our guide was wonderful—his deep love and knowledge of Albania brought each stop to life.

An enlightening, entertaining experience in a country with a past that most of us can barely begin to comprehend. Stunning scenery, some ancient architecture, mixed with the more mundane day to day reality of life.

It's a fascinating country with a lot to offer. There is so much history and the people are very friendly and genuinely interested in you. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Great holiday. Who knew Albania is so beautiful. The trip covers a lot of the south - interior and coastline. Great guide - helpful and knowledgeable always taking time to tell us about his country. The maps Armand provided each day with each leg of the route were great as they are a good reminder of the trip (and helps to remind me of the place names!) Some tough climbs but so worth it. Also some exhilarating downhills with very little traffic. Loved the food - although could have done without the chips - I think they were served just for us.

The tour leader was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout . I also felt in safe hands on the roads with our careful driver. Although it’s a busy itinerary it was pretty well balanced. There were some excellent lunch stops with lots of chances to try the local beverages and cuisine. Driving through the Albanian countryside is certainly a scenic and beautiful experience. The country’s history is very interesting and well explained by the tour leader and local guides. I have no hesitation in recommending this trip and hope to be back next year on another Explore adventure.
