Overall, it was a pretty good trip, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to check off both of these national parks from their bucket list.
That said, there were a few downsides. The accommodations weren't great, and breakfast wasn't included. Contiki provided a $20 daily breakfast allowance, but we stayed at The Hostel in Teton Village, a resort town where breakfast options were limited. Most restaurants didn't open until 7:00 a.m., and we had to be on the coach by 7:30 a.m., which made it difficult to have a proper breakfast before leaving each morning.
Another issue was that we only found out at the last minute that we needed to purchase bear spray. Contiki only covered two cans for the entire group, even though the recommendation is one can for every 4–5 people. Since there were 21 people in our group, several of us had to buy our own, which was an unexpected additional expense.
