day 1 - Entebbe arrival & transfer to your hotel

Meet your driver on arrival at Entebbe Airport and transfer to your hotel in the city. You are free for the rest of the day. Depending on the arrival time, you have the option to take a walk through Entebbe or visit the city's botanical gardens.

day 2 - Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park

Drive to Murchison Falls after the breakfast. The scenic drive takes you through the plains of Nakasongola to the Budongo Forest where you might encounter primates along with a variety of bird species. Check into your lodge after an epic view of the Murchison Falls from the top.

day 3 - Game drive and Murchison Falls boat cruise

Explore the northern section of Murchison Falls after an early breakfast. This area has a high concentration of savannah wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and taking photographs of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, giraffes, Ugandan kobs and lions as well as leopards (if you are lucky). Plus, there are a variety of bird species that you will see.

Return to your accommodation for lunch and prepare for a launch trip to the base of the falls. Many consider this to be the highlight of the Murchison Falls since it allows you to get up close with the animals in the water.

Embark on a three-hour launch trip to the base of the falls in the afternoon. Cruise past huge hippo pods, crocodiles, bathing buffalos and numerous aquatic birds adorning the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls. There is an opportunity to take pictures, so carry your camera with you if you want to.

day 4 - Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Drive through an escarpment after breakfast while enjoying great views of the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift Valley. This region is home to numerous lakes like George, Edward and Albert.

See the beautiful Fort Portal, a lovely town nestled in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon, which is famous for its tea plantations. Enjoy a packed lunch along the way as you pass the Crater Lakes region on your way to the secluded Primate Lodge located inside Kibale Forest National Park.

day 5 - Chimpanzee tracking experience and the Bigodi Swamp

Start the day tracking chimpanzees in the heart of Kibale. This reserve boasts the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa, providing sightings of wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys and black-and-white colobus monkeys.

After a hearty lunch, transfer to Bigodi to visit a local community initiative, the Bigodi Wetland Walk. Be on the lookout for primates and the rare great blue turaco, one of the 138 bird species found in the swamp area.

day 6 - Transfer to Queen Elizabeth and evening game drive

Go on a crater drive after breakfast and explore different crater lakes that contribute to the stunning beauty of the region. Thereafter, continue to Kasese for lunch and coffee and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy an evening game drive in the national park before proceeding to the lodge.

day 7 - Queen Elizabeth National Park: Game drive & boat cruise

Your day starts with an early breakfast after which we go for a game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, which act as a mating ground for the kobs of the national park. You might spot waterbucks, buffaloes, elephants, lions and warthogs in the plains.

Enjoy a boat cruise in the Kazinga Channel after lunch. Kazinga is a natural channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. See different species of animals and birds as you sail down the channel.

day 8 - Game drive & transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Embark on a game drive in the plains of Ishasha after an early morning breakfast. There is a chance that you might encounter tree-climbing lions today. The landscape of the Ishasha Plains is unique compared with other parts of the national park. We will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the afternoon.

day 9 - Gorilla trekking in Bwindi

Proceed to the park office for registration and briefing after an early breakfast. Today you will get the chance to see the largest and heaviest primate in its natural habitat. Trekking through Bwindi in search of these majestic creatures sometimes involves long, uphill walks through steep and densely forested areas.

It may take between three to eight hours under muddy and strenuous conditions, sometimes with rain, to find your assigned group. But all these difficulties disappear once you encounter these amazing mountain gorillas.

day 10 - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Lake Bunyonyi

Head for Lake Bunyonyi after breakfast. Lunch will be provided en route. Regarded as the second deepest lake in Africa, Lake Bunyonyi lies in southwestern Uganda, near the Rwandan border, and is one of the country’s top natural treasures.

At 1,962m above sea level, the lake enjoys moderate temperatures year round. This is the perfect place for relaxation and photography. The optional activities on offer during your stay in Lake Bunyonyi include swimming, canoeing, boat ride, birdwatching and a visit to the pygmies.

day 11 - Lake Bunyonyi – Lake Mburo National Park

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park after an early morning breakfast. Reach the national park in the afternoon and enjoy a boat cruise in Lake Mburo. This is the only nature reserve in Uganda that supports massive herds of impalas, which have lend their name to Kampala, Uganda's capital city.

Other antelopes that you might spot are topis, bushbucks, common duikers, oribis, Defassa waterbucks and Bofor reedbucks. Buffalos, warthogs, bush pigs and hippopotamuses many also be seen.

day 12 - Game walk, transfer to Entebbe & departure

Go for a game walk escorted by a ranger guide after an early morning breakfast. You are most likely to see a number of mammals like elands (the biggest antelopes in East Africa), bush bucks, zebras, buffalos, bush pigs, hyenas, impalas, reedbucks and a variety of bird species (papyrus gonolakes, lyrac breasted rollers, and kockie francolins) during this walk.

Check out of your accommodation after the walk is over and drive back to Entebbe. You will have your lunch en route. Stop at the equator for photos, arriving at Entebbe in the afternoon. We will drive you straight to the airport for your flight home.
