The only suggestion I have about the tour is on the name tags above the name you should have everybody’s state there’s plenty of room
Considering that the government shutdown affected the trip, our tour manager found additional things that helped us explore. He was also very knowledgable and shared history and background - unknown to me - information. He made the very best of a bad situation. The Bus driver, Mike, also did a great job!
Everything was great except the walking tour of the Lincoln assignation. It was too long of a walk with no place to sit for senior people. We should have gone in Ford theater and the Peterson house instead of just looking at the outside. More information about what the tour includes and doesn’t include should be given ahead of time. Walking and looking at buildings is not good. The information given was wonderful but could have been given in one place like inside Ford theater.
There is so much to see. Our guide Wesley was fantastic. He had so much knowledge. I learned things I never knew about American history. I think the most memorable times were the Korean War memorial and watching the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
