Our tour was great. We did do a lot of riding but Chad played informative videos and shared lots of history regarding the stops along the way. The Meier garden, the town of Frankenmuth, & and the Alden B Dow home. They were hidden gems. Chicago was great & our bus tour with David as our guide was wonderful. So much history. Mackinaw island and the Grand Hotel was the highlight. Bronners Christmas store was awesome, just not enough time there. It was perfect for our group. Detroit was amazing. The Ford Plant museum was amazing & I loved the history. Our guide was the best. The Ford museum & area out was great. Our dinners were delicious. Our travel arrangements were great as well. The Westin in Detroit was not what we expected. We had an incident on one floor an I found a live insect crawling on the counter near the coffee supplies. You might consider different accommodations in Detroit. Was a great trip. Will book again with Collette.
Mackinac island was amazing and a bucket list item. The tour started in Chicago and we were in a beautiful hotel by the riverwalk, so very convenient. Surprisingly besides the island itself, along the way we stopped at sculpture gardens and in Dearborn we found the Henry Ford Museum to be amazing, and not just for cars, but planes, trains, furniture etc. Well put together tour. Can’t go wrong with Collette.
I absolutely love Chicago!! The tour we had was great! I was there in 2024 but I was able to experience other areas and hear the local stories. All of the tours were incredible! I enjoyed all of them. Not as impressed with Bronner’s but glad I experienced it and bought souvenirs. I enjoyed Mackinac Island. Very unique experience. The grand hotel was lovely. Probably my favorite tour was the Ford Co Rouge. So fascinating to watch the assembly of the trucks. I could have watched for hours!! Jamie, our tour guide was wonderful. So helpful, knowledgeable and friendly but also kept us on track! Loved the way he handled the bus seating! I enjoyed our group meals and really had a great time. Joe, our driver was very nice, too!! This was my first vacation with a tour group like this. It was definitely an adjustment needing to follow strict leave times lol
