Itinerary
This Namibia journey offers a diverse and immersive experience, blending coastal charm, dramatic landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and exceptional wildlife encounters. The tour begins in Windhoek and travels into the breathtaking Namib Desert, the gateway to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, where some of the world’s highest sand dunes rise above striking desert landscapes. Guests also explore Sesriem Canyon, a remarkable natural formation shaped over centuries. The journey continues to the seaside town of Swakopmund, known for its unique mix of German colonial architecture and relaxed African atmosphere, where guests can enjoy leisure time and optional adventure activities. En route, scenic highlights include Solitaire, the dramatic Kuiseb Valley, and the flamingo-rich Walvis Bay Lagoon. The journey then heads inland to Damaraland, a rugged and sparsely populated region famous for its striking geology, desert-adapted wildlife, and scenic drives near the Brandberg Mountain. Cultural highlights include a visit to Twyfelfontein, home to ancient rock engravings, as well as the Petrified Forest and the unique Welwitschia mirabilis. The adventure continues to Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s premier wildlife reserves, where game drives offer the chance to spot a variety of animals including elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, and numerous bird species around the park’s iconic salt pan and waterholes. The tour concludes with a return to Windhoek, offering a final glimpse of Namibia’s landscapes and local markets before departure.
