Langtang Valley’s serene alpine beauty awaits on the Himalaya Langtang Trek 8D/7N, a journey where snow-capped peaks, ancient monasteries, and Tibetan culture converge. Starting and ending in Kathmandu, this relaxed-activity trek is perfect for those who want to blend nature and culture without the pressures of a strenuous climb. Guided hikes take you through lush forests and vibrant villages, offering panoramic views from Kyanjin Gompa and encounters with local wildlife. The unique draw of this trek lies in its balance of accessible adventure and authentic cultural immersion, making it an ideal trip for nature lovers and explorers eager for a genuine Himalayan experience.

day 1 - Kathmandu - Syabrubensi, Nepal

Kathmandu –Syabrubensi (1600m) approx. 9 hours

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and take a morning drive heading north through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas passing Trishuli Bazaar to reach Syabrubensi. The road is occasionally blocked by landslides and debris during the rainy season which may cause delays along the route.

day 2 - Syabrubesi-Lama Hotel, Nepal

Syabrubesi-Lama Hotel (2470m) approx. 6 hours

Encounter wildlife as you trek from Syabrubensi to the Lama Hotel today. The route descends along the ridge on Syabru's main street and then drops to Ghopche Khola (2050 m.) followed by another descent to the Landslide (1810m.). Climb gently to Rimche (2400m.) passing through Bamboo (1960m.) to reach the Lama Hotel (2470m.) where you will overnight.

day 3 - Lama Hotel-Langtang Village, Nepal

Lama Hotel-Langtang Village (3430m) approx. 6 hours

See your first glimpses of Mt. Langtang Lirung as you trek from the Lama Hotel to Ghore Tabela. Watch for animals like monkeys and local birds and you follow the trail that ascends through the valley past fields with livestock and farmers. Visit a monastery before arriving to the village of Langtang, headquarters of the National Park.

day 4 - Langtang Village-Kyanjing, Nepal

Langtang Village-Kyanjing (3870m) approx. 5 hours

Begin your gradual uphill ascent through yak pastures and small villages with beautiful views of the mountains. Cross moraines and streams to reach Kyangiin settlement where you can visit the monastery and cheese factory. Take the afternoon to acclimatize and explore nearby viewpoints to see Dorje Larpa (6990m.), Langtang Ri (6370m.) and Langtang Lirung (7245m.).

day 5 - Kyanjing, Nepal

Rest Day and Excursion at Kyanging

Have breakfast and enjoy your rest day to acclimatize and walk around the surrounding areas with panoramic views of the Langtang peaks.

day 6 - Kyanjing - Lama Hotel, Nepal

Kyanjing Gompa-Lama Hotel approx. 6 hours

Trek along the banks of the Langtang River towards Langtang Village in order to reach Ghora Tabela. Make your descent along the trail that leads back to Lama Hotel where you will spend the night.

day 7 - Lama Hotel-Syabrubesi, Nepal

Lama Hotel-Syabru Besi approx. 5 hours

Have breakfast and begin your day with a morning trek through verdant forests with spectacular mountain views. Cross through Sherpa and Tamang villages as you make your way to Syabru Besi for the night.

day 8 - Syabrubesi - Kathmandu, Nepal

Syabrubesi-Dhunche-Kathmandu approx. 7 hours

After a delicious breakfast, return to the village of Dhunche and take a car ride back to Kathmandu with your head full of lasting memories of your incredible trek.
