Despite a mishap in that my pickup at Kingston airport did not materialise through no fault of the local rep, I thoroughly enjoyed my trip across Jamaica. I was disappointed with the guide for not initially giving a general introduction of Jamaica and Jamaica life on our first days, but apart from that the guide fully ensured we kept to our schedule and that we made the most of our time in Jamaica. This trip was the perfect way to see the Island rather than being stuck in the same hotel with the very limited transportation options to other places that most UK tour companies offer for Jamaican holidays. To note though that the hotel and breakfasts did vary in their standards. Overall with the idyllic swimming locations, it was a very enjoyable trip indeed.
Good trip, itinerary. Good mix of included activities, optionals/free time. Average guide, rude. Didn’t provide information about the country unless specifically asked and then just rattle off some comments and was done with it. Great food. Hotels were good but some were distant from restaurants, so you were forced to eat at the hotels with their expensive rates or take a taxi into town… and oh! so many drivers. We were constantly changing vehicles and drivers throughout the trip. We had a tips kitty but we were constantly handling our own luggage at hotels, not sure what the tips kitty was used for on this trip, maybe the many drivers??
As fit Octogenarians we wanted an exciting trip at a more relaxed pace and that is exactly what this is. Good food, comfortable hotels and a range of activities for all ages in which we could participate or simply spectate. Great to get the winter sun on your back with water sports at some fabulous beaches and to feel those Bob Marley vibes again. Yea Mon!
The guide was rough in the way she was talking to us. Not giving much information about the country and the itinerary
Excellent holiday
Tish was an excellent tour leader and really looked after us. It's a great way to see Jamaica, visiting lots of places and a not too packed itinerary, so that you have enough downtime to enjoy Jamaica and to relax.
An excellent and very laid back trip seeing Jamaica. The guides in the Bob Marley museum, Rose Hall, Charles Town Maroons and the coffee plantation were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
