The journey climbs steadily through Pangboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche, culminating at Gorakshep, the last outpost before Everest Base Camp. Early morning hikes to Kala Patthar reward you with jaw-dropping panoramas of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. day 1 - Arrive in Kathmandu

Our airport arrival and departure representative will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport after you arrive. You will then be transferred to your hotel in the heart of Kathmandu. Check in at the hotel. Take rest and explore the city on your own if you want to. You can also visit our office for additional information about the trek. Join our welcome dinner program in the evening.

day 2 - Kathmandu to Lukla (flight) - Phakding

Travel to the airport after breakfast and catch the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2800m). Lukla is the gateway to the entire Everest region of Nepal. Start trekking along the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Reach Phakding in the evening and stay there overnight.

day 3 - Phakding - Namche Bazaar

Start trekking from Phakding and cross a small stream before climbing up a terraced hill to reach Bengar. A mixture of several uphill and downhill trails will lead us towards Sagarmatha National Park office where the park entrance fee is collected.

Follow the zigzag path through hills and pine forests while enjoying amazing views of Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse to reach Namche Bazaar (3440m).

day 4 - Namche Bazaar (acclimatization)

Since you are nearly three thousand and five hundred meters above the sea level, you will stay in Namche today and allow your body to acclimatize to the altitude. You can also walk up to Khumjung Monastery or to Syangboche (3800m) from where you can enjoy outstanding views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaru and other high peaks.

day 5 - Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche

Head for Tyangboche (3867m) in the morning. To the right of the trail you follow is a steep cliff that drops down to the Dudh Koshi, which is faintly visible on the valley floor below. It is a rather long climb to Tyangboche and the first half is especially difficult.

Enjoy splendid view of harsh alpine valleys surrounded by snow-capped peaks as you travel. Reach the stone gate built by lamas at the entrance of Tyangboche and head for your lodge where you will be spending your night.

day 6 - Tyangboche - Dingboche

Follow a mountain trail that offers stunning views of Ama Dablam and Kantega mountains. Hike through a chorten-lined route to reach a stupa in a village. From there, it is a fairly moderate trek all the way to Dingboche. Stay overnight in Dingboche (4,260m).

day 7 - Dingboche - Lobuche

Head for Pheriche after breakfast. Reach Dugla after about 2 hours of walking from Pheriche. Have lunch and climb to the top of a steep hill from where you can enjoy good views of Mt. Pumori and other peaks. Continue your journey to Lobuche (4930m), where you will stay tonight.

day 8 - Lobuche - Gorakshep

Follow a rocky, moraine trail from Lobuche while enjoying views of glacial ponds and icebergs below the Khumbu Glacier. A short, downhill walk after the last moraine dune brings you to Gorakshep (5180m), a flat surface of land below Kala Patthar (5545m).

From there, your trail follows a rocky path and the Khumbu Glacier towards Everest Base Camp. Spend some time at the base camp and retrace your steps back towards Gorakshep for your overnight stay.

day 9 - Kala Patthar - Pheriche

Go for an early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5545m) and enjoy a magnificent view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Kusum Kanguru and other peaks. Spend some time exploring the area and start retracing your steps back to Gorakshep. Spend your night in Pheriche.

day 10 - Pheriche - Tyangboche

Start your downhill journey after breakfast, passing through rhododendron forests and enjoying scenic views of the mountains. Reach Tyangboche and spend your night there.

day 11 - Tyangboche - Namche Bazaar

Leave Tyangboche behind and head for Namche Bazaar. The walk from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar is mostly downhill on the main EBC trail with a few steep climbs. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

day 12 - Namche Bazaar - Lukla

Follow the mostly downhill trail from Namche Bazaar to Lukla via Monjo. The final portion of today's journey involves 45 minutes of uphill climb after which you reach Lukla. Celebrate the completion of the trek with your crew in the evening.

day 13 - Lukla - Kathmandu (flight)

Fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla. After landing in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can either rest at the hotel or take a walk around the busy streets of Thamel. Participate in a farewell dinner program in the evening.
