Itinerary

Join us on this week-long, guided trek through the Druk Path, an ancient trading route over high mountain passes connecting Paro and Thimphu valleys. This memorable walking odyssey will take you through blue pine forests and past rhododendrons and juniper-filled landscapes.
Even though you will be hiking at elevations of between 2,400 m to 4,200 m, the actual trekking is relatively easy. You will get the chance to enjoy magnificent views of Mount Gangkar Puensum, the highest peak in the world not to have been summited, all along the way, lakes, and beautiful flora .

day 1Paro arrival

Our representative will receive you on arrival at the airport in Paro and transfer you to your hotel for check in. In case there is some free time after lunch, we will visit the National Museum of Bhutan housed in a 17th century building.
Another highlight of the city is Paro Dzong, a massive fortress also built in the 17th century that now has offices of Bhutan's monastic body. A tour of this beautiful dzong will introduce you to the unique aspects of Bhutanese Buddhism. A lovely stroll downhill from the dzong over an old cantilever bridge wraps up an eventful first day in this magical kingdom.
