Diving the Great Barrier Reef. Also, our tour guide Lia Checketts was the best!!!!
It was not a luxury trip but by no means were we roughing it. The price initially looked a bit expensive but everything was comfortable, the tour manager really was there every minute of the day to ensure things went as planned, even personal situations such as lost luggage benefitted from his attention, even when just helping people call the right numbers and plan accordingly. It really was a good value and much easier than trying to figure it all out, on our own. Favorite Memorable Experience: When we went on the boat out to the fjord, it was an unusually sunny, clear and not-so-cold Winter day (it was impressed upon us how rare this really is). At one point, the boat will get so close to a waterfall that anyone on the bow would get soaked (it's slow to happen - there is plenty of time to dodge it). We were so giddy with the nice weather, the sunshine on our faces, quite a few of us were dodging in-and-out of the water, laughing like kids running through the "sprinkler" still encased in our Winter duds, pure joy on our faces. To top it off, we suddenly saw a full rainbow in that mist, larger and closer than any of us had ever seen. It's moments like that that can't be planned but wouldn't have taken place without the plans before it.
Best tour of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji ever! Best Guide award goes to Clare Martin who made this trip fun, enjoyable, interesting, and a true adventure. Thanks Collette, great value for the money.
Great trip. Loved the cultural inclusions, Milford Sound was spectacular
New Zealand was magnificent. Could have stayed longer in queenstown and explored the north island. Would never use our travel agent again. She was assigned by Collette and was very little help prior to the tour. Thankfully, our tour manager Clare Martin was outstanding and we had a great experience during our tour
Riding the shotover boat ride in New Zealand, and visiting the opera house in Sidney
On our own time in Queenstown New Zealand jumping out of a plane at 12,000 feet and tandem parachuting to the ground. Both tour directors were excellent in providing advice as to things to do and places to go to on our own time during the tour.
Loved most everything! Would suggest taking one day in Sydney to visit the Blue Mountains and Featherdale Wildlife Park. Did not like the Fiji hotel (Radisson) or location - the tour guide took everyone where HE wanted to go and the hotel service was terrible.
Too many great experiences to pick just one. Lia our tour manager was amazing. We’ve taken many trips and she is among the very best.
Our tour was perfect from start to finish. Great itinerary with a good mix of inclusions and free time to choose what we wanted to do. Lodging and included meals were top notch. Lia, our tour guide, was incredible...professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and communicated details in a timely manner.
