Overall the trip was great Vecchio, our tour guide was exceptionally good - fluent in English and Spanish which was impressive. He was organized, telling us not only about the history of each country but when and where we are stopping for the toilet and the itinerary for the next day. He was always cheerful and easy going. He had an infectious sense of humor which made the early mornings bearable. It would have been great to spend more time in Plitvice lakes, however given the time for road travel, it is understandable why there is limited time in each place. Perhaps it would be better to extend the trip to 10days. Coach was comfortable and adequate toilet stops were made. Didnt mind the bilingual tour as the tour guide was easy to understand.

This trip was exactly what I needed. Also, it’s worth saying the roads were great, parking wasn’t a nightmare, and the car rental process was straightforward. That stuff matters when you’re not 25 anymore. If you want a bit of culture, nature, good food, and a proper break from the usual routine this is your tour. We’re already talking about doing another self-drive next year. Portugal, maybe?
