This was an excellent trip in all respects. We were fortunate to have a cohesive, compatible group and an excellent tour leader. Activities were varied and interesting, including the optional ones. Good weather throughout was a lucky plus for the trip.
Very hard, very demanding, very cold, VERY REWARDING. The first view of a snow leopard, like my first encounter with a tiger, was highly emotional and, unashamedly, induced tears !
A wonderful voyage of discovery which takes you to each region of Costa Rica ...all made up of unique climate zones with varying birdlife and wildlife. I would hardly identify myself as someone who usually goes out searching for birdlife or wildlife, but this trip captivates you to get involved and go searching ...often early in the morning or in the evening. Costa Rica is incredibly lush with a small population and a government appearing to work hard on sustainability and protection of the environment. There were a lot of roadworks in evidence! All the accommodation was excellent and all the Lodges, each one different, were a delight. They allowed you the luxury of sitting on your own veranda allowing the birdlife and wildlife to 'come to you' as you were in their environment. Our trip spent its last night miles outside of San Jose centre which, although the hotel was lovely, was a disappointment for me as I'd wanted to spend the free afternoon exploring the vibrant downtown area with its parks, local shops, lovely buildings, museums etc but this wasn't feasible from Santa Ana. I've mentioned this to Exodus. We had a few downpours...mainly late afternoons, but only were out on a trip during one downpour and the Lodge provided everyone with huge ponchos...the rain didn't spoil the delight of the boat trip. Suggest a waterproof jacket, strong trainers or walking shoes and a camera with a good zoom lens should be priorities for packing!

I would highly recommend doing a tour like this one, I feel like the experiences I got from this will be very hard to recreate. They have a special place for me and I will always remember this trip fondly.

Incredible destinations, delicious cuisine, and unforgettable experiences made this tour exceptional. However, what truly set it apart was our CEO guide, Apple. Her professionalism, extensive knowledge, organization, humor, and passion for her role enhanced every moment. She handled challenges fearlessly and, above all, ensured the safety of every traveler. I would highly recommend G Adventures to friends and family, and Apple as the guide. Thank you, Apple, for an amazing journey!

The 21 day adventure exceeded my expectations. It provided a wonderful introduction to the history and diversity of Peru’s culture. The hike to Machu Picchu was, in places, challenging but imminently doable. The tour leaders were knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and interesting people.
My desire to participate in another G Adventures tour is driven in large part by the quality of their tour leaders.
Simply the best trip I have ever been on. I did not want to come home! The leader made everything happen with no hitches - and encouragement for a slightly trepidatious snorkeller! As for the Galapagos - Wow! I think that that the trip, being landbased, allowed us to experience so much more, meet more locals and eat local food and just soak up the atmosphere - on the beaches or in the bar!!
It was fun got to meet new people and learn new things it’s nice to get out of your comfort zone sometimes and explore the world, especially with g adventures
