This trip was incredible! The activities available ranged from climbing red sand dunes and star gazing in the desert, to getting up close to giraffes, zebras, and lions on safari and kayaking with seals jumping up onto the boat. Our guide Often did an amazing job of showing us the highlights of Namibia. Long stretches on the road but the view of the beautiful and changing landscape along the way made it all so worth it! Would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to explore the path less travelled and immerse themselves into Namibian culture.

He’s very knowledgeable, keeps us on track, and made the bus rides so much fun. A fantastic adventure that really transformed my previously negative view of group trips! Botswana, in particular, was absolutely stunning and GAdventures built an excellent itinerary to have an unforgettable experience in Southern Africa. The tour guides/CEOs were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun – they did a fantastic job with a large group of travellers (many of whom were travelling solo) and really facilitated the creation of lifelong memories and friends. I've been solo traveling for the last 9 months and chose this tour with G Adventures as my grand finale and I'm so happy that I did. Our CEOs were so knowledgable and helpful that I felt like my brain was off for half of the month. Every day holds some sort of fun adventure without the usual work that comes along with most travel because those logistics are being taken care of for you. In my option, there is not better way to overland Southern Africa than this tour. We got to see things and go places that we never would have been able to go to on our own. I really enjoyed the trip and the way camping was mixed into the other accommodations.
However, it would have been nice to have some more options for Cape Town add-ons, even if we couldn’t do all of them. I.e see Nelson Mandela’s prison. I also think the township tour should be an inclusion.
The walking safari in Zambia was a bit too expensive though, considering we only did like 30-40min of walking.
was fantastic in the way he welcomed us to his home country and spoke about life in Africa.
